Hi! I love working with children and I have several years of experience. Throughout my four years of attending college in New York, I worked for a babysitting agency and helped care for children from many different families. Through this experience, I learned how to keep kids engaged and comfortable while we’re together. I love being creative with kids, coming up with fun games to play, helping with homework, etc. :)

Note : Urbansitter changed my profile name from “Amy” to my official name HongMei. Please call me Amy. I have been vaccinated for Covid and just had my Flu shot. Sept 2021 UPDATE : Returning to child care after 18 months off due to COVID. Available MON & FRI from 8-6pm. Early Mornings, Evenings, and Weekends remain on a case-by-case basis. 1. CHILD CARETAKER: * I absolutely love kids. I’m one of those "born to be a child caretaker" type of women. I have been taking care of children since before my boys (5 & 7) were born. Once my boys started school full-time, I began increasing my hours. We relocated to my husband’s parents home in Rhode Island during Covid. We returned to LA to start the new school year, and I’m returning to child care full time. * I provide parents with the confidence their child(s) are safe, happy, and well cared for. Previously through word-of-mouth, I've aggressively used UrbanSitter since August. * I’ve babysat months-old infants, supervised older children, and everywhere in-between. I had a live-in Nanny when both my sons were born. From this experience, I learned 1st hand how an extra pair of hand can save a new-mom’s sanity. * Difficult and/or active kids are no issue. I’ve never found a child whom didn’t respond well to my care. My husband and I have NEVER spanked our children. Timeouts, communication, & firm directions are more than adequate to correct a child's behavior. I’m very patient & understanding with all children. 2. SAFETY: * I grew up with traditional Chinese medicine, and learned western medicine through my husband's family (doctors). * I took First Aid & CPR classes in 2013, and in the process of being re-certified * I look forward to keeping your child(s) safe, happy, and engaged until you return home. 3. AVAILABILITY : * YOUR home: WEEKDAYS : M-F 8am - 6pm. EVENINGS & WEEKENDS : Case-by-case basis. * MY home : 24/7. We have a guest bedroom also used as a kid’s playroom. I babysit some of my regulars at my home. Welcome to random last-minute inspections, our home is both VERY child friendly, and always spotless. 4. ABOUT ME : * I am 41 years old, from China, and moved to the USA in 2015. My husband is from Rhode Island, and we have been married since 2008. * We raise our boys in a multi-cultural home. I’m therefore cognizant, and empathetic towards differing views of raising children. I

Booked by 6 families in San Marino, CA

Hi! My name is Alejandra and I am 32 years old. I am completing my Child Development school journey at Pasadena City College and an Elementary School Librarian in the Rosemead School District. I am fluent in both Spanish and English and would love to incorporate both if that is something of interest. Taught English in an amazing Elementary in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. I enjoy being around kids, and feel that creating a connection with them comes at ease. Mother to a lovely boy and I am now experiencing childcare from a parent’s side, appreciating all that a parent does and bettering all the skills that are needed towards a child and their care. I love working with children and I would love to enrich and be a part of your child's life!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
