Booked by 2 families in San Pablo, CA

Hi! My name is Anele and I am in graduate school. I am offering childcare, senior care and household services including pet care I love working with kids and have worked with kids of all ages including ones with special needs. I have many nieces/ nephews and my little sister whom I have taken care of during her infancy. Formally, I was a full-time live-in nanny/au pair for two years watching toddlers: 3 and 5 years old and a 16 year old teen. We had two dogs which I cared for so I am comfortable with pet dogs and cats. I then spent 5 months caring for a 3 years old, often overnights. My duties have included preparing meals, dressing, bathing, bedtime, laundry, assisting with homework, school pick ups/drop offs, afterschool activities, household chores and engaging play, crafts, and outings including the park. I was also a camp counselor and educator for 8 years in total so I am very comfortable around children. I am trained in First Aid /CPR (currently working on recertification) and water safety, and have completed a course in early childhood development. I also work well with seniors having looked after my ill grandparents at various points of their lives. I am able to provide senior care and household services care by preparing healthy meals, laundry and housework chores, grocery shopping, organizing, cleaning up shared spaces, assisting with errands, appointments and social outings, etc. I look forward to meeting your lovely family and working with you!

We hired Anele for a 2 hours for the first time. Anele arrived on time with a smile on her face and started attending to my son right away, engaging in his interests , making sure he felt comfortable enough before us parents left the house. When we returned our son was disapointed that Anele had to go home. We will hire Anele again.

$32 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in San Pablo, CA

Hello families, I'm Luz Maria, though most know me as Lucy. I'm the youngest of five siblings, who enjoys spontaneous adventures, hiking, and spending time with loved ones. I value being open-minded, kind, curious, and empathetic. I strongly believe in self-care, recognizing that we can best care for others when we also take care of ourselves. I have over a decade of experience supporting infants and toddlers. My top priority is their safety. Beyond that, I strive to create an environment where children feel encouraged to explore and learn. I take time to truly listen and understand each child's needs, emphasizing being present and intentional in every interaction. I believe children should be able to fully express themselves by talking through emotions, while still setting boundaries. My goal as a nanny is to help children explore their world safely and confidently while supporting each family's values, routines, and parenting style. Please let me know your needs and how I can be a valuable addition to your family’s support system.

Luz is a fantastic and loving nanny for my little boy for almost 17 months. I met Luz at the park and saw how incredible she was interacting with kids espicialy infants and toddlers, the reason why I hired her as my night sitter couple times a month. She is responsible, caring, honest, communicative and on-time throughout her employment with me. For anyone who is looking for a nanny, I would strongly recommend Luz she is an amazing nanny who will sincerely care for your children like they are family.

Hi! I am Julie and am a teacher and am from Colombia. I currently watch a 8 year old and 5 year old, but have been with her since she was born. I am looking for a part time job on my mornings (9:00 to 1:30) and do well with kids of all ages. I am a good driver . I can prepare meals, pack lunches and head to the park, take the children to museums and overall I ensure they’re happy and tired enough to get a good nights sleep! I am helpful with laundry. Being a former teacher I often teach reading and writing and love to play learning games to help kids accelerate their Spanish and school readiness overall.

Cared for newborns (preemies & twins) and infants to preschoolers! Families’ references include the words caring, nurturing, patient, honest, flexible, punctual and playful , with me being called “Aunty” by the little ones who easily adapt to and are comfortable with me. Keeping open communication about their day and evening activity with parents is a priority, while focusing on their safety and maintaining a clean environment with no distractions from electronics. Being available for sleep training and transitioning babies from breast/bottle to solid food are invaluable. Along with a keen awareness of developmental goals and providing age appropriate educational activities as little ones grow, are proven examples of an experienced, well educated caregiver who strives to maintain a calm, respectful and positive family structure.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
