Hello- My name is Zulema, I am 43 yrs old, married for 22 years and a mother of two (ages 20 and 16).
I’m an experienced early childhood educator and parent coach with over 20 years of experience supporting children and families in preschool, early intervention, school-based, and family-service settings. I hold a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology and am passionate about creating nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experiences for children.
My approach to caregiving is warm, patient, and play-based. I enjoy helping children learn through everyday activities, imaginative play, books, art, music, outdoor time, and age-appropriate routines. I understand the importance of supporting children’s social-emotional development, communication, independence, and confidence while also making sure they feel safe, understood, and cared for.
I have experience working with children from early childhood through school-age years, including children with developmental delays. In my previous roles, I have collaborated with families, educators, counselors, social workers, and behavioral support professionals. I am comfortable using positive guidance, clear routines, visual supports and calming strategies tailored to each child’s individual needs.
As a sitter, I value open communication with parents and will always respect your family’s routines, preferences, and parenting style. I can provide updates about your child’s activities, mood, meals, sleep, play, and any important moments during my time with them. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish and would be happy to support Spanish language exposure if that is meaningful for your family.
I am looking for occasional nanny and babysitting opportunities where I can provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate care. Whether you need support for a date night, weekend plans, appointments, special events, or an occasional extra set of hands, I would love to help create a positive and comfortable experience for your child and peace of mind for you.
