Hello! My name is Shilpa, I am 24 and a fine arts student at Otis College of Art and Design. I am hoping to eventually use my degree to work as an art teacher for elementary or middle schoolers! My love of working with children began as baby-sitting jobs throughout my teenage years and only grew once I worked from 2023-the summer of 2025 as an early childhood educator. I am originally from Seattle, and moved down to Los Angeles this year in July. For the past two years (up until my move), I worked as a floating teacher at Epiphany Early Learning Preschool, working with children aged 18 months to 5 years old. Although I loved all the age groups I worked with, I especially loved working with children aged 2-3. I find caring for and helping children grow to be one of the most rewarding experiences, and I am very passionate about building strong relationships with kids as well as their families. I also worked as an art teacher at Epiphany, and I really enjoy coming up with creative activities that are engaging and appropriate for the age of children I am working with! It would be such a privilege to get to know your children as well as your family! I am a serious cat lover as well and would be happy to provide pet care for cats, however I am allergic to dogs. Child at Heart ♡ I have been caring for children since I was a young girl and it brings me such joy. Which is why I have done everything from babysitting/nanny to coaching a Special Olympics team, to teaching Art Therapy at the Ronald McDonald House, to teaching swimming, photography, and English to kids, in the US and abroad.
