Booked by 1 family in Santa Monica, CA

Ciao! - My name is Maya, and I'm currently a student at UCLA. Becoming a babysitter stemmed from positive experiences babysitting my younger cousins and volunteering at a daycare in my teenage years. I am a very intuitive, patient, and caring person who loves helping others out. I am comfortable caring for children 2 and up and can comfortably handle watching 3 munchkins at a time :). My responsibilities in past sits have included crafts, homework help, cooking, cleaning, reading, and playing video or board games. I am also First Aid, CPR, and American Red Cross Lifeguard certified! <3

Wonderful with my son! That’s not easy now that he’s nearly a teenager (about to start 6th grade) and shies away and wants to be on his computer, but Maya somehow managed to engage him in both Mario Kart and chess! Usually when looking for a new sitter, I pick someone with many reviews/bookings but Maya had been recommended by a friend. She also dealt with the kitchen/dishes, and all the papers/pencils on the dining table. (And lined up the shoes. Not requested but little things like that are huuugely appreciated.) She’s sat him a couple of times now so can safely say: Attention to detail, timeliness, flexibility, dependability and report with my son = 🙌 ⭐️x5

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
