Melody $25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Santa Monica, CA

Hello, My name is Melody, and I am a native Santa Monican, and I was born at UCLA Medical Center. I am the baby of five, and I looked after my beautiful, beloved Mom with pleasure and honor in her later years, and it was a privilege to do so. She was such a caring, loving and awesome Mom, and I have all of her great traits of honesty, integrity, loyalty, compassion, to name a few. I am also a loving, compassionate, empathetic, caring being who has discovered what my mission is in this lifetime, and I want to express this in all ways to live up to my potential. Her transition has awakened this realization in me. Spreading all of this joy, especially to our elder population, would give me much satisfaction while ensuring that all their needs are provided for and making their lives smoother and more enjoyable. Thank you in advance for allowing me to do so.

$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Santa Monica, CA

Nanny in West Los Angeles with 11 years of professional childcare experience, including live in and travel nanny positions. I have worked with children of all ages, including disabled nonverbal children and high spirited, sensitive children who need extra patience and support. As a mother to a 19 month old, I understand both the professional and personal side of caring for children. I am CPR certified and have a strong understanding of baby and toddler development. I am patient, dependable, and organized. I enjoy creating structure and routines that help children thrive, and I can help families establish routines when needed. I am familiar with age appropriate schedules, sleep foundations, and daily routines that support healthy development. Most importantly, I genuinely love working with children and helping families make their day to day lives a little easier. I can't wait to connect with your family and learn how I can help!

Asia has been wonderful with my baby girl. She is moving around with my 9 month old, letting her crawl around and explore while she is right there. She is able to get my daughter to nap, which isn’t always easy. Happy for her help.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Santa Monica, CA

Hi! I’m Diane and I have a minor in education at UCLA and a masters degree at Teachers College, Columbia specializing in higher education. I have a 1 year old and can offer occasional babysitting on the evenings or weekends in Marina Del Rey/Venice.

We absolutely loved having Diane care for our 6-month-old! She was so natural and confident with our baby, and you could tell she genuinely loves taking care of children. She was attentive, nurturing, and completely trustworthy with our son, and we always felt like he was in the best possible hands. She’s truly wonderful and we’d recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Santa Monica, CA

Here’s a little about me: I’m energetic, compassionate, creative, and love working with and caring for children. I’m originally from San Francisco, went to undergrad at Tulane in New Orleans, and am currently in my second year getting my masters in clinical psychology at Pepperdine (West LA campus). During the week, you can find me working as an ABA behavior technician working with kids on the autism spectrum, at my practicum site working as a school therapist at a TK-8, in class, or finding any opportunity to do something creative and/or be outside! I have over 8 years of working with kids (generally ranging from 3 months to 14 years old) in school, summer camp, and babysitting settings.

Kids liked her a lot! Said she was funny 😆 Showed up on time, did a good job

Clara 2 reviews
$26 per hour for 1 child

Hi Families, my name is Clara. I have lived in the West Los Angeles area for over 25 years and bring extensive experience as a nanny working with children of all ages, with 15 years of strong, joyful references. I am also a mother myself. I am CPR/First Aid certified, TrustLine registered, and have an excellent driving record. I am currently seeking a part-time position and occasional date night care. My availability is Monday from 8:00 AM–9:00 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, and weekends from 11:00 AM–midnight. I am passionate about supporting children’s growth and development while prioritizing safety and ensuring they have a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment. I am hands-on and enjoy interactive play, reading, talking, singing, supporting nap and feeding routines, and helping with transitions. I also maintain a clean and organized space related to the children, including toys and laundry, and enjoy outings to parks and libraries. I am experienced in supporting potty training and navigating toddler transitions with patience and care. I value being a collaborative part of a family’s support system and believe in strong communication and teamwork with parents. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and also have conversational Japanese skills. I enjoy introducing children to cultural diversity and helping broaden their understanding of the world in age-appropriate ways. I would be honored to support a loving family and look forward to the opportunity to connect.

Clara has been a nanny for both of our boys for years, and we could not have been happier with her care. She (still even after a couple of years since we had her) exudes love for them. Her energy is magnetic, and the boys were always kept busy and engaged. She would take them on adventure walks, constantly clean up messes, and ALWAYS communicated if something was a safety concern. We always took comfort when the boys were in her care because their safety was her top concern. On top of that, she treated us and our boys like family. It was never just a job for her. To this day, we still get together for dinner and for some holidays. Any family would be lucky and blessed to have Clara part of their lives. She is truly a gem!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
