Hi, my name is Catherine. I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at Skyline College and working in a preschool with infants and toddlers. I offer childcare, senior care, pet care, and household support services.
I have followed different career paths throughout my life, but I decided to pursue an area I had always wanted to experience: working with children and learning more about their education and development. Since beginning my Early Childhood Education studies, I have realized how important the early years are in a person’s development and how meaningful it is to provide children with a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
My personal experience caring for children began when I was 14 and helped my mother care for my younger brother. More recently, through my studies and work in a preschool setting, I have gained experience supporting children with daily routines, meal preparation, age-appropriate activities, and creating a safe and engaging environment.
I have worked as a program instructor for adolescents and adults with special needs, where I developed strong skills in patience, communication, adaptability, and creating a safe and inclusive environment. In addition, I have experience supporting seniors with daily living activities, meal preparation, transportation to appointments, errands, and companionship.
I am comfortable helping with cooking, light cleaning, and other household tasks. I am also an animal lover with experience caring for dogs, cats, and birds.
I am caring, and committed to creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment for every child, adult, pet, and family I work with.
