$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 9 families in South San Francisco, CA

Hi parents! My name is Yulan. I have 3 years of babysitting experience and a clean driving record. I’ve cared for children of all ages, starting from 3 months old, including those who are sick. I’m also happy to help with pets — walking dogs, feeding them, and more. I’m fully vaccinated, in good health, and can wear a mask if preferred. I’m reliable, responsible, and available for school pick-ups and drop-offs. I can also cook and prepare meals for children. Sometimes I help doing kids laundry as well. I also specialize in evening and date-night babysitting — helping parents enjoy their time out while I make sure everything at home stays calm and safe. Parents often tell me they feel completely at ease knowing I’m there. I’d love to help you enjoy your night out worry-free!

Yulan was great! Good communication before the job. Showed up on time and jumped right in to all the action. Spoke Mandarin to kids as requested. She helped with 5-year old who loved her and with our 5-month old baby as well. Will definitely ask her to come back!

Booked by 38 families in South San Francisco, CA

Hello! my name is Amarilis, I’m 25 years old. I grew up in the Bay Area. I was born in Oakland and raised in San Francisco. Both my parents are from Guatemala so I am open to speaking Spanish! I graduated in Spring 2024 at SFSU with a Bachelors in Psychology with a Minor in Health Education. I have worked with children for about 3 years, I have prior experience working at a pre-school, as a teacher assistant, ages range from 2-5. I’ve also babysat from 11 months up until the age of 11 years old. I’ve always held a passion in helping kids from all age range while being a facilitator. I am currently working as an Interventionist/ Behavioral Technician, this has allowed me to grow and work with kids that are dealing with developmental delays. I love working with kids and seeing their potential and I believe they deserve patience to learn and grow. A few fun facts about me are that I also have an art buisness. I’m very crafty! Since I was small I’ve loved creating art and I am slowly trying to make more happen in the future! I also love nature, space, the ocean, anything peaceful I enjoy!

Amarilis was super friendly, approachable, and punctual. Our daughter warmed right up to her and had a blast drawing and playing games while we were out. Will definitely hire again!

I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions. My life was full of small stories, as I was born with a “setting” in my mind, that I would love to understand what life is about in general. And I learned what is most important and why. One of the most important things (better to say values) is a good supportive atmosphere in a family, which I do with all my effort trying to keep in my family and will be putting not less effort to keep it in yours. I worked in IT for 10 years, before my youngest daughter was born. She is 17 now, finishing high school. Last 15 years (before we moved to California from Chicago) I was working in 2 derections. I was organizing art, music events and was working on a concept of “kid’s club” - informal studying, where kids would be able to see where is their natural potential, their inner strengths are. I’ll be happy to work with your kids and do my best to help them to develop what they can do the best, while to keep developing other strengths. Looking forward to hear from you. I was born in Belous (we speak Russian at home). My family immigrated to US in 1989. I was at the age of my youngest daughter

Yulia has been amazing with my 2-year-old! She's deeply caring and brings the best energy to every visit. What I appreciated most is how independent and proactive she is - she respects our wishes as parents but never needs detailed instructions. When my son wasn't feeling well, she was incredibly patient and accommodating, and once he recovered, she had him out on long walks and bike rides. Highly recommend!

Booked by 4 families in South San Francisco, CA

My name is Sofia, and I’m a rising junior at UC Santa Barbara, home for the summer. I have been babysitting on and off since 7th grade. I’ve worked primarily for three families. The first two roles involved caring for one child each (ages 4 and 6), while the third involved caring for three siblings (ages 2, 5, and 8), including one child with special needs. Caring for an 8-year-old boy with brain cancer, which affected both his physical and cognitive abilities, taught me patience, adaptability, and how to communicate when verbal communication was limited. I also spent three years working as a math tutor at Mathnasium, where I worked with groups of three to four students at a time, ranging from preschool through high school. Managing multiple children at once strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to keep kids engaged while adapting to different ages and learning styles. I'd describe myself as creative, which helps me get along with kids. The majority of my experience has been with no-screen families, so I am very comfortable keeping kids entertained with fun activities, imaginative play, crafts, reading, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy finding activities that match each child's interests and energy level rather than relying on screens. Above all, I want parents to feel confident that their children are safe and well cared for. I enjoy creating a fun, engaging environment while respecting each family's routines and parenting style. Whether we're doing crafts, playing outside, or winding down for bedtime, I strive to be patient, dependable, and someone both parents and kids feel comfortable with. I have reliable transportation and am happy to do pickups or drive to activities. I have had my license for well over 3 years. I’m looking for short-term work while I’m home for the summer before returning to school in September, and I have a very flexible schedule. Please contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to the opportunity to communicate with you and make new little friends!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
