Hello, My name is Opal. I live in Redwood City and currently work as a Family Assistant in the area. I’m looking to add more hours to my schedule—approximately 20 hours per week in March and around 30 hours per week starting in April. My schedule is flexible, and I am available to start the week of March 16th. Family Assistance (4 years of experience) I can help with meal prep (lunch and dinner), keeping the home organized and tidy, reorganizing children’s closets, sorting outgrown clothes for donation, and running household errands. I’m also happy to handle grocery shopping (Whole Foods pickup, Trader Joe’s, Costco), return packages, and take the family car for maintenance. I’m very organized and also enjoy cooking, especially Thai food. Pet Care I’m comfortable helping with pet care, including feeding, walking, taking pets to grooming or vet appointments, and picking up pet supplies. Childcare (11 years of experience) I have extensive childcare experience, including 5+ years caring for newborns, infants, and toddlers. I am Infant CPR and First Aid certified, fully vaccinated with boosters, and have received my flu shot and TDAP. I truly enjoy working with children and love engaging them through reading, singing, playing, and outdoor activities such as going to the park, library, and museums. I have my own car, a California driver’s license with a clean driving record, and can safely drive children using the family car. I’m a fun, punctual, reliable, patient, flexible, and positive person who loves both children and animals. I’m happy to provide references upon request. Rate: $38–$40 per hour. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Opal

Hello Families, My name is Dora. I graduated from the University of Washington and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Teaching and California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Before that, I worked as a preschool teacher and gained experience in early childhood education. My experience includes working with children of all ages, from infants and toddlers to preschoolers and elementary school students through 5th grade. I’m CPR certified and a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, with additional training in autism and neurodiversity. Working with children is something I truly enjoy, especially getting to know each child’s personality and interests. Reading, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, board games, and trips to the park are some of my favorite things to do with kids. Activities can always be adjusted based on the child’s interests and the family’s routine. Currently, I’m looking for part-time and occasional childcare opportunities and would love to get to know your family! BOOKING POLICY: For schedule changes within 48 hours that reduce the booked hours, the original hours are expected to be honored. Thank you for understanding! :) Warmly, Dora

Dora is incredibly professional and jumped right in to care for my 19-month-old daughter on her very first visit. My daughter is currently going through a phase of separation anxiety, but to my absolute surprise, she didn't shed a single tear and had such a wonderful time playing with her! Dora is also extremely attentive to details—she prioritizes cleanliness, hygiene, and safety at all times. You can truly see how much love and patience she has for little ones. She is absolutely fantastic!

In fact my daughter listens to her and enjoys playing with her. She is very clean and always cleans up areas once they are done playing and eating etc. she is always on time which I really appreciate. It has been great to work with her and I would highly recommend her.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
