I am a former preschool teacher, currently turned nanny, with 20 years of experience working with children. I am a fun, loving person and offer more than the typical babysitter as I focus on supporting the overall development of children I work with. My experience ranges from birth to adulthod, including children with special needs, as I hold a certificate of specialization in special needs education and have several years of experience working with diverse abilities. I have two children of my own; a 23 year old son and a 27 year old daughter who graduated from Stanford. I am a native Spanish speaker, CPR certified, and a registered sitter with Trustline for added peace of mind of families. Note: if your child is sick or anyone in your household, please let me know, so we can discuss the risk. I don’t offer cleaning or cooking services.

Hello families! My name is Vanessa, and I currently live in Cupertino, California. I have experience caring for children of different ages, from newborns and infants to toddlers, school-age children, and teenagers. My approach is warm, patient, and respectful. I enjoy creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to learn. I have experience with daily routines such as feeding, diaper changes, naps, playtime, reading, outdoor activities, bedtime, and age appropriate learning activities. I also like to support children’s independence, curiosity, emotional development, and confidence through gentle guidance and Montessori inspired activities. I speak both Spanish and English, which allows me to communicate with families from different backgrounds and also support children in a bilingual environment. I am fully vaccinated, a non-smoker, and I have a clean driving record. I am also happy to help with light household tasks related to the children, simple meal preparation, transportation, and keeping their spaces organized. In addition to childcare, I have experience supporting elderly family members, including helping with meals, transportation to appointments, companionship, and daily routines. This experience has helped me become even more responsible, patient, attentive, and compassionate in the way I care for others. I also volunteer at my local church in Palo Alto, where I help with childcare during events and services. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, yoga, listen podcasts, Pilates, and continuing to learn about child development and personal growth. I truly enjoy working with children and building relationships based on trust, respect, kindness, and communication. I would love the opportunity to support your family and contribute to your child’s well-being, development, and happiness.

Vanessa cared for my daughter Aaliyah (2½) this summer while she was off from preschool. She sat for us first on July 2 and 3, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and then again on August 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. She was wonderful every single day. Vanessa didn't just supervise. She played with my daughter and filled her days. She took Aaliyah swimming at the big pool and splashed around with her in the backyard baby pool, took her to the park more than once, played dress-up, danced with her to music, and colored with sidewalk chalk on the patio. I work from home and when I got off work, Aaliyah was happy, worn out in the best way, and asking when Miss Vanessa was coming back. What stood out most was her patience. Toddlers are unpredictable, and Vanessa never lost her warmth. She is endlessly sweet, calm, and attentive. My daughter adores her. She was also a wonderful presence with my extended family. My elderly parents were often around during her shifts and joined in on outings with her and Aaliyah, and they love her too. Vanessa is respectful, easy to communicate with, and completely reliable. She showed up on time, was flexible when plans shifted, and always kept me in the loop about how the day went. Vanessa is thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely kind, and she treated my daughter like family. Any family would be lucky to have her. I will keep asking her to babysit on preschool vacation days, and I'd recommend her to anyone.

🌿 Professional Nanny & Family Assistant Hi! I’m Angie, a caring, patient, and highly reliable nanny with over 7 years of experience, including 2 full years as an Au Pair and Family Assistant in the U.S. During my Au Pair program, I worked closely with my host family not only caring for the children but also supporting the household as a family assistant. I helped plan and maintain daily routines (meals, naps, school schedules, activities, homework, and bedtime), organized educational and recreational activities, supported bilingual learning (Spanish/English), and assisted with light household tasks to keep the home running smoothly. I have experience with children of all ages, from newborns and infants to toddlers, school-age children, and teens, and I’m very comfortable caring for multiple children at once. Safety is always a priority — I’m CPR & First Aid certified, attentive, and calm in any situation. Families describe me as trustworthy, loving, patient, and very organized. I focus on creating a warm, positive, and structured environment where children feel safe, happy, and confident. My approach is gentle and respectful, with an emphasis on positive discipline, emotional regulation, and age-appropriate independence. I love encouraging learning through play and creativity, including reading stories, arts and crafts, painting, music and movement, outdoor adventures, sensory play, and Montessori-inspired activities. I also enjoy teaching Spanish naturally through games and daily conversations. I’m fully vaccinated, a non-smoker, a strong and safe driver with a clean record, a confident swimmer, and very comfortable with pets. I hold a U.S. Green Card, allowing full authorization to work and travel in the U.S. I’m available for full-time starting in August and have a very flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, date nights, occasional overnight care, and travel if needed. I have excellent recent references and truly value building long-term, trusting relationships with families. If you’re looking for someone reliable, organized, and genuinely passionate about helping children grow and enjoy their days, I’d love to meet your family 💛

We've booked Angelica for 5 consecutive afternoons/evenings of support, and she has been able to interact and play with kids. Overall, we would recommend Angelica.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
