Hello There, I'm Shanya. I'm originally from Boston, MA. and went to college in New York city, where I lived for about 15 years. I've been in LA for the past 3 years and I run a freelance design business from home. In addition to my design business, I spend a lot of my free time working several passions art projects. Some of the things that I'm passionate about include sustainability, creative experimentation and arts education as a means for personal development and discovery. I love teaching art to people of all ages. Some of my past project include; 1) developing a maker market / craft fair in Portland, Oregon that supported the local maker community while teaching craft skills to children and adults, and 2) working as an art workshop instructor for a off Broadway theatre company, where I lead children in works that were later used as set decorations. For example during a production of the Little Mermaid the children made sea creatures that were used to decorate the stage during the live show.
