Hi, I'm Amanda. I have been a 2nd grade classroom teacher, for 3 years and I LOVED it. Due to the added stress of the pandemic, I have decided to take a gap year in teaching so that I can return to the classroom even more energized. My hope is to return back to a classroom at some point, but I am open to new careers. I have 10 years of experience working with children. I started at a daycare with 2-3-year-olds and have 3 years of experience in a classroom setting. My degrees include, bachelors degrees in math and elementary education as well as a masters in literacy. In addition to child care, I can help with tutoring specifically in students grades 1-6 but also mathematics for any grade. Recently, I worked at the Hospital For Special Care with students 7-22years old who have behavioral challenges and autism. I have worked with newborns and very young children in previous placements. I am very good at entertaining and engaging children without any screen time. I do not smoke and I have my own transportation.
