Hi, I’m Kaelin—an active, bubbly, creative, and hardworking individual with over 10 years of experience working with children. I’ve served in many roles, including public school teacher, homeschool teacher, special needs teacher, nanny, tutor, and foster sister. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida International University, where I graduated in December 2020. I also have a Florida teaching certification for Birth–3rd grade and founded a tutoring company called Grow from Learning (www.growfromlearning.com), which reflects my passion for personalized education.
My journey with children began at age 12, when my mother began fostering. We cared for children from newborns to 13 years old, which sparked my love for early childhood. In high school, I volunteered at two daycares—one for toddlers and preschoolers, and another for school-aged children in aftercare.
During college, I worked at multiple daycares, assisting with all age groups, and shadowed elementary teachers every semester. Since earning my degree, I’ve been a nanny for children ages 1–12, a homeschool teacher for 1st and 5th graders, a Special Education Preschool teacher, and a Kindergarten teacher at a charter school. Most recently, I worked at a microschool called Nova Leadership Academy, where I taught and supported students ages 7–13 in a small-group, mixed-grade setting that emphasized hands-on learning and strong student-teacher connections.
As a creative educator, I love designing activities based on age, skill level, and interests. In 2017, I created a six-week summer program for two young boys, complete with themed weeks, activities, and field trips. For example, during “fire week,” we read books about fire safety, played a water hose cup game, and visited a local fire station to meet real firefighters.
I’d love to join a family that values teamwork, mutual respect, and a fun approach to learning and growth. I’m passionate about creating meaningful experiences, encouraging creativity, and helping children explore the world around them—whether through arts and crafts, outdoor play, or hands-on learning.
