Hello, my name is Dorothy. I am new to the area. I graduated from South Carolina State University in 2011 in child development. In the past 7 years I have worked with a variety of different camps throughout the states and other countries so I have experience with working with children. I am working a full time job that will not required me to be around kids. I feel like I love being around kids because they bring me joy in life. I hope you find this helpful and if you have anymore questions about me fill free to message me.

I hired Dorothy to take my son to and from school. I needed someone last minute and Dorothy came through. Ive had a few experiences where sitters take on a job, then quit when they are overwhelmed by the travel demands, but Dorothy thought about what I needed, and was committed to sticking to it. She was punctual, and gave me regular updates regarding my son's drop off and pick up. She also gave me her DL and tag information before I could even ask! That really put me at ease, as we are always nervous, as parents, entrusting others with our children. My son also expressed how much he liked her and felt comfortable with her, and my son doesn't just like anyone..lol. I would definitely hire Dorothy again.

Traveling Nanny! Distance is not a problem. Responsible, dependable and high energy nanny with 9+ years of experience caring for children from newborns to twelfth graders. Highly skilled in infant care, water safety, and intellectual well being. Expertise in managing family schedules, household maintenance, personal assistance and meals are some of my specialties. I have worked with a family full time and long term for 4+ years. I was also with a nanny for a year that entailed twins and a 7 year old. I have worked for private families and UNHW families. I love being able to see children expand their minds and be alongside for continuous milestones and growth. My passion in childcare exemplifies in all of the children I have encountered thus far. I am constantly active with children and love to see them expand their knowledge. I have done years of babysitting, 6 grade camp counseling, tutoring and leading a group of 100 children at two different school sites from ages 2-17 in tutoring. I have watched many infants up until they were 2-3 so I am well versed in that area. I speak both Spanish and Portuguese. I have open availability as well. I hope to hear from you :)

Jesenia was so lovey and kind. I trust her with my 2 month old and would hire her again!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
