******IM LOOKING FOR TEMP WORK WHILE MY FAMILY IS OUT OF TOWN MARCH 11th-15th.***** Hello, My name is Dezirae, and I am 31 years old. I am married, and my husband and I are parents to a beautiful 4 year old girl. She is the light of my life. I will be looking for a family that will be open to me bringing her to work, but it is not a requirement. She is so wonderful, and loves other babies/kids. It is her nature to take care of others. She goes to co-op preschool. I attend monthly parent educational meetings that also guide me to being a better parent/caregiver. Being a nanny is my passion. I have been a nanny for 4 years. I began working part-time and on call care jobs for children ranging from infant to 9 years old. Currently I am a nanny to a 3 year old little boy. I am with him part-time. I pick him up from therapy, and if he’s not asleep before we arrive home, we play. I am also in charge of preparing his food for dinner. Before my current family, I was a nanny for a wonderful family for a year before they sent their son to daycare. He was 4 months when I started. I still act as their date night sitter. My preference is to care for infants/toddlers. A day for us will include reading books, age appropriate sensory activities, outings to the zoo, library, parks, and museums. I love using my imagination, and encouraging all of my Little's to do the same. I believe in positive discipline. I am very patient and strongly believe in emotion coaching. Modeling healthy loving behavior/ communication especially during the hard days is critical for growth of a child. My childhood was filled with family and love. I grew up in the same house as 3 of my cousins who are more like siblings. One of my cousins who I was very close with is on the autism spectrum. I have been so blessed to have my eyes opened to children with special needs. I love working with them, and they will always have a very special place in my heart. I was one of the older kids, so I was always the babysitter. I am a very compassionate, loving, and patient person. I am very active. I grew up playing all different sports. I love to learn and do new things. I firmly believe we are what we eat, so being healthy and staying active are very important to me. I grew up in the Christian community, and I went to a private school. I fed homeless teenagers for seven years, and more recently I volunteer occasionally at a shelter called Mary's Place. It is a shelter for homeless women and children. Every Friday I volunteer with Swedish Edmonds as a baby cuddler. I have a very reliable 05 Honda Accord with full coverage insurance. My ideal situation would be to find a family that I can build a strong relationship with. I would look at us as a co-parents, so communication is key. I am more than willing to help clean, run errands, help with homework or whatever you may need. Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon.

Dezirae came through for us when we were in a tight spot for a babysitter. Her personality was very warm, and she we eager to help in any way possible. She took great care of our son while we had a much needed date night. We would absolutely recommend her and would definitely use her services again in the future.

My experience with childcare started when I was a child working (5yrs old) with my mother at her school. During my employment with TLC I gained more knowledge on caring for men with neurological conditions and visual challenges. I continued my monthly trainings received yearly CPR, FIRST AID training. When I worked for RISE, I continued receiving my CPR, First Aid certification, monthly instruction to be the most effective I could be to care for individuals on the spectrum. My supervisors describe me as a calm person, generous with my time, very hard working, dependable. The people I’ve served have said that I am compassionate, patient, very pleasant to be around.

I’m 19, in college, and the 2nd oldest of 6, so caring for kids is second nature. I’ve worked at a church camp and a daycare for kids on the spectrum, gaining patience, adaptability, and specialized care skills. I also helped care for my great-grandmother before she entered a nursing home, giving me senior care experience. With multiple dogs at home, I’m comfortable with pets. I’m reliable, understanding, and experienced in household tasks, heavy lifting, and keeping a safe, positive environment.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
