I grew up in a childcare setting—my mother has owned and operated a home daycare in Chicago for over 20 years—so nurturing and supporting children has been part of my world from a young age. I have experience working with infants, toddlers, and school-age children, and I currently work as a mentor and youth advocate supporting teens and families. I love caregiving because it allows me to build meaningful relationships, support development, and create safe spaces where children feel seen, valued, and encouraged to learn through play. I’m patient, dependable, and creative. Outside of caregiving, I’m also a seamstress and fashion designer, which means I love bringing creativity, crafts, and imagination into daily activities. Hi families, hola familias! My name is Juliebeth and I am currently enrolled at Loyola University pursuing a B.S in Psychology. I am bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English. I have always had a passion for working with children. Ever since I can remember, I would care for my siblings and babysit younger cousins. I am a former Montessori teacher for a Toddler Spanish Immersion classroom and worked with about 12 children a day, ages 2-3. I was also an assistant in a 3-6 year old Montessori Spanish classroom. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I am COVID vaccinated and can provide proof of this. My hobbies besides babysitting include cooking, working out and watching movies. I love baseball games, traveling and spending time with my family. I have a vehicle of my own, transportation is not an issue. I am a very safe driver and have insurance/driver’s license, if needed to travel with children. I am also available to help with homework and light housework!
