Hi parents, welcome to my page! My name is Maria and I would love to assist you with childcare. I have been working in childcare for the last ten years and I have experience with children ages newborn to thirteen years old. For the last five years I worked with a family as their full time nanny. With that family I assisted in school drop offs/pick ups, infant care, toddler care, potty training, meal prepping, light house keeping, homework help, etc. I am searching for my next full time family, but for the time being I am happy to help out with one off babysitting dates and date nights. I love to go on walks, go to the park, read, do board games, and do arts and crafts. I am more than happy to help out around the house and I am very flexible with start and end times. Thank you for your consideration. Have a great day and good luck in your search! **Please note that I have a three hour minimum when it comes to bookings. Thank you!

Maria was quick to respond, arrived on time and was able to make my kids (ages 3 and 5) feel comfortable right away. She was great and we will asking her to babysit again soon!

Hi, I’m Abby! I’ve been babysitting officially for the past 3 1/2 years, although, coming from a big family, I’ve been watching kids most of my life. I’m an artist and a college student. I started doing childcare in the nursery at my church when I was 12, and then worked as a summer camp counselor there until I was 14(stopped due to the pandemic). I was a camp counselor for Steve and Kate’s Camp during the summer of 2023 as well as this summer, and I’ve had various sitting jobs over the course of the past 3 years. I also do face painting for kids at parties sometimes too. I’m very creative, energetic, and open to new experiences, as well as a quick and diligent learner. In my free time, I roller skate, paint, play piano/guitar, practice makeup, play board games and video games, and do a little fashion design(amongst several other hobbies, haha). I also have experience taking care of cats and dogs and some senior caregiving, as well as elementary/middle school tutoring . I can also cook some basic meals, I’m pretty great at baking, and I know how to clean. I value making good connections with the kids I sit and their families, and I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s hands. I hope to be a great service to whomever I babysit for. :)

Hello, My name is Kiana and I am a fun loving, hardworking, energetic, and responsible professor/writer from Alabama. I graduated with my MFA in Screenwriting from AFI in 2021. I will be on sabbatical from my role as a professor at Cornell University and transitioning to the Chicago area. Looking for short term roles. I was a nanny and household manager all through college and grad school from 2012 to 2021. I genuinely love children and typically choose to pick up nanny gigs in the summer when I am on break from teaching. I am super organized and very responsible. I absolutely love children. I have extensive experience with children who are special needs or preemies. Open to range of roles. I have over a decade of professional experience. I have been CPR certified over 8 times. I have references from my summer nanny gig last year in LA. I am reliable and I am looking for a family who is as well. Feel free to reach out. I'd love to connect.

Excellent communicator and professional.

Booked by 7 families in Chicago, IL

My name is Miranda M., and I have been a caregiver for over 13 years. Caring for others is something that I truly enjoy doing. I not only make every effort to please the client who is seeking a quality professional, I listen to the needs and likes of the other clients, the children. I am a CPR, AED, lifeguard certified under the American Red Cross. I have cared for children from 6 mos to 14 yrs old. I can help families with daily care, weekend or date night relief, overnight care and after school activities. I am happy to prepare set meals, pack lunches for school, tidy up after the kids and oversee nightly bedtime routine. I have extensive experience with all age groups as a sitter and as a lifeguard. Understanding the household rules and expectations is something that creates an environment where everyone feels safe and understood. Activities include enjoying the outdoors as long as the weather permits. Getting fresh air and sunshine does the soul good. I love the museum campus and the Shedd aquarium is one of my favorites. I have a passion for soccer, but am open to all sporting activities and learning new things. I Majored in Classical Voice Performance, so singing is literally my forte! I can offer singing lessons, theater and acting coaching, basic dance knowledge and always willing to learn new moves. I am happy to follow a tutor curriculum or offer school work support. I am a great baker and I make the perfect fluffy scrambled eggs (cooking is not limited here). Along with all my training through the American Red Cross, I have also completed two Care Giver Instruction Courses. My senior care experience has been limited to more along the lines of a Senior Companion. I have meal prepped, errand running, dog walking, and serve as an excellent Gold Fish player and a book reader. I believe everyone truly deserves a companion no matter how old they are. I try to offer companionship with a tender heart. Working for the elderly, takes compassion, patience, and empathy. I have had experience with both cats, and dogs. With proper instruction I am happy to feed your goldfish. I will walk, feed, play, cuddle and wash your fur baby ( I am not certified to cut hair or clip nails). I will walk you pet to the groomer or vet when required. Size of cat and or dog does not matter. Shedding happens. No worries I own a lint roller and lots of tide pods.

Miranda is amazing. I say this because she always amazes me with her patience, kindness and compassion that she displays every day. It takes more to be an excellent sitter than being cpr certified. Which she is. It takes the gift of understanding people and helping them be the best versions of themselves. I have seen her do this time and time again with children of all ages and older adults. You will not be disappointed working with Miranda. Plus she has the attitude of leaving a place better than when she arrived, which always makes clients happy.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
