I have nannied and babysat for over 20 years. I have been a household manager which includes duties such as running errands or scheduling plumbing. I was a live in nanny. I nannied for a newborns until age 5. I have babysat for families with 2 children and even 4 children. I have watched toddlers grow into preschoolers while a sibling is in grade school. I worked with various ages from newborns up to age 16. I really enjoy nannying for kids! I also taught swim lessons to children in groups up to 20 for 7 years which involved children in day camp. I was also a teacher's aide for English for 7th graders. I taught a week of poetry to grade school children, corrected papers, and helped the teacher. I taught art in Montessori schools for groups up to 14 children ranging in ages from 3-8 years old. I also worked for a daycare and watched up to 5 babies at one time while maintaining their feeding and diapering schedules and reading to them. I supervised up to 8 toddlers at a time and made sure they were entertained, fed and diapered at appropriate times. I also watched up to 10 five year olds at a time and we all had a ton of fun while playing and learning together! I have also cared for twins together! I clean bottles, change diapers, bathe and dress children, take children to the park and to activities as well as supervise play dates. I do household management duties such as car rental, oil changes, scheduling a plumber and letting him know the issue. I organize parties. I do grocery shopping and light housekeeping. I cook. Hello, I am a young professional who works at the Army Enterprise and Marketing Office in Downtown Chicago. I have 8 years of babysitting experience and previously worked with a couple of families in Washington DC while I completed my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. I have experience with kids ranging from toddlers to 9 years old. I have taught swim lessons at a waterfront, I mainly taught children ages 5-8. I have previously been a camp counselor for children aged 9-11 and then aged 4-6. I really enjoy working with kids and I'm a child at heart and love playing with them. I grew up in Vermont, and I love being outdoors.

Shannon was great! Our baby was sleeping the whole time, but she was on time and friendly, we had no problems.

Hi, my name is Suzanne! I’m energetic, creative, and patient, with a big heart for kids and the joy they bring. I love making children feel safe, included, and excited to learn and play. For the past three summers I’ve worked as a counselor at a stay-away summer camp where I lived with and cared for kids ages 8–15 for six weeks at a time. Beyond camp and taking care of older kids, I have a lot of experience caring for and babysitting toddlers 13 months and up and love how curious and playful that age is. I bring both structure and fun to every setting whether that means planning crafts, organizing games, or helping with homework. If your kids love video games I can hop into Roblox or Minecraft with them 😆 but I also enjoy screen-free activities like board games, card games, and creative projects. Along with child care I’m terrific at keeping a clean organized home, and I love pets just as much as kids. Growing up with ADHD shaped how I connect with children. I know how important it is to feel accepted and understood, and I make it my mission to ensure every child feels confident and happy being themselves. I also attended a boarding high school for art and creative writing, where I lived year-round. Since I was away from home and living in a dorm, I never needed a license, and now that I live in Chicago I rely on public transportation instead of driving. Sadly I won’t be able to provide transportation for your children.

The kids had a great time with Suzanne! She was great at playing with the 1yo, 5yo, and 7yo.

Hello! My name is Natalia, and working with children has always been my true passion. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and have over 17 years of experience helping children learn and grow. For the past four years, I’ve been a Preschool Teacher at a private school in Chicago, where I work with young learners ages 2–4. I’m 43 years old and a proud mom of three (ages 22, 20, and 9). My colleagues and families describe me as warm, dedicated, and reliable. In my free time, I also work as a babysitter, which I truly enjoy — spending time with little ones always brings me joy and positive energy. 💛

Natalia was punctual and extremely patient with our son. She asked a lot of questions and followed our instructions. Would hire again!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
