Hi, my name is Tewa. I am going into my sophomore year of college I have worked in childcare for 4 years now. I work with children all ages, infants to teenagers. I can help kids with homework, drive them to activites, cook them meals and prepare them for bed if needed. I can also care for pets. I do not have any experience with caring for other dogs other than my own. However I do care for my dogs frequently. I am able to walk dogs, play with them and feed them. Whatever is needed.

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and have over 10 years of experience with babysitting children of all ages from infancy to 10 years old of age. I also have experience nannying and teaching children. During Covid, I nannied and tutored two preschool/kindergarten children 5 days per several weeks and had created a preschool like atmosphere in their home while I came up with lesson plans, circle time, and various of other fun activities and crafts. I'm also certified in adult and infant CPR and first Aid. I also have a couple years of experience in professional Caregiving for seniors. I have experience in dog sitting and cat sitting as well. I am a grandma of two girls 3 & 5. I have been babysitting since I was 15 and still in contact with the family. I most recently cared for my mother who has Alzheimers but as her mind deteriorated she had to be put in a home. I recently moved to Illinois to be closer to my grandchildren. I grew up in a big family and always found myself taking care of the younger kids. I am an elementary education major so in high-school I took a preschool class that allowed me to get experience with 3-5 year olds. Then I joined my churches nursery so I got a little over a year of experience with infants and 2-3 with toddlers. I babysit my 3 month old niece often. I work at a daycare where I float around a lot. That has allowed me to have 8 months of experience with all ages up to 4-5. The child’s wellbeing has always been my priority but also making sure they’re having fun. Working at a daycare has also taught me to communicate better with kids and parents. Knowing what helps them when they can’t really speak for themselves or can’t form full sentences. After the daycare I became a director at a summer camp/after school program which gave me experience with ages 5-12.
