Hi, my name is Tewa. I am going into my sophomore year of college I have worked in childcare for 4 years now. I work with children all ages, infants to teenagers. I can help kids with homework, drive them to activites, cook them meals and prepare them for bed if needed. I can also care for pets. I do not have any experience with caring for other dogs other than my own. However I do care for my dogs frequently. I am able to walk dogs, play with them and feed them. Whatever is needed.

Tewa has been babysitting for our family since the fall of '22. She is a fantastic babysitter and I would highly recommend her to anyone. First, she is always punctual. My kids adore when she babysits to the point that when I say, Tewa is coming over they get excited instead of sad that I am leaving. This is exactly what you want from a babysitter! She plays with my children, ages 5 and 9. She plays full-hearted with them. She jumps on the trampoline. She chases them. They have this made-up mermaid game they play together. She is 100% involved and active with them. She takes them to the park. This is obviously my favorite thing about her bc it makes the time for my kiddos a fun experience. She keeps my house clean which is always so awesome. I do not have to worry about coming home and cleaning the dishes from dinner. She has my children clean up after themselves. She follows my instructions through all of it including bed time. My kids love her laid back attitude. She has fun w/them. I am also comfortable with her driving them to/from activities. I highly recommend her to anyone in the area! Of course, she asked me to write this review and I am so sad that she might not be available the next time I need her! LOL. She is fabulous! Take the chance- worth it!

I recently I have decided to make a career change, and during this time of transition I am offering my qualified services of babysitting, pet care and senior care. I also have a couple years of experience in professional Caregiving for seniors. I have experience in dog sitting and cat sitting as well. I am passionate about helping others and the educational value of understanding the different stages of child development and its impact it has on adulthood and well-being. A bit about me...I studied cinematography as an undergraduate at Southern Illinois University where I directed and edited short films and later transferred to Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL to obtain my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. I am a grandma of two girls 3 & 5. I have been babysitting since I was 15 and still in contact with the family. I most recently cared for my mother who has Alzheimers but as her mind deteriorated she had to be put in a home. I recently moved to Illinois to be closer to my grandchildren. I love caring for kids of all ages.

I grew up in a big family and always found myself taking care of the younger kids. I am an elementary education major so in high-school I took a preschool class that allowed me to get experience with 3-5 year olds. Then I joined my churches nursery so I got a little over a year of experience with infants and 2-3 with toddlers. I babysit my 3 month old niece often. I work at a daycare where I float around a lot. That has allowed me to have 8 months of experience with all ages up to 4-5. The child’s wellbeing has always been my priority but also making sure they’re having fun. Working at a daycare has also taught me to communicate better with kids and parents. Knowing what helps them when they can’t really speak for themselves or can’t form full sentences. After the daycare I became a director at a summer camp/after school program which gave me experience with ages 5-12.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
