Hi! I've been a sitter since I was a young high schooler, and it has always been some of the most rewarding work I've done. I just moved to Boston from NYC, where I taught outdoor school classes for children ages 1-4. As a dancer, I love doing anything movement related with kids, whether that's playing sports, making up dances, or going on long bike rides. I also have tons of creative activities up my sleeve like drawing games, playing music, board games or chess, making fairy gardens and forts, storytelling, theater games and collaging. I also love teaching, and l'm happy to help with homework and tools for focusing. In a lot of ways, I'm always trying to get back in touch with my child-self, and I think we have so much to learn from kids. I love their imaginations, their compassion, and their endless curiosity!

Hello Families! My name is Kat, and I’m excited to connect with you. I bring over 15 years of experience caring for children from infancy through middle school, with a strong background in early childhood education and the arts. I’ve worked as an assistant teacher in an infant classroom, a toddler teacher, and later a Pre-K teacher at a performing arts preschool, where I also taught Spanish and drama electives. I’m bilingual in Spanish and hold a degree in Theatre Arts, which I love incorporating into creative, playful learning experiences with children. Beyond early childhood, I’ve worked as a one-to-one paraprofessional at Dover-Sherborn Public Schools and as a Surround Care Paraprofessional for K2 with Boston Public Schools. Most recently, I was a dance teacher for grades K0–1st. I’m currently shifting my focus toward infant care and supporting new mothers, and I’m in the process of becoming a certified Postpartum Doula, though I still enjoy working with children of all ages! I’m an energetic, crafty, and nature-loving caregiver who believes strongly in learning through play. I love engaging kids in activities like arts and crafts, dancing, outdoor play, and neighborhood exploring. I also offer homework help, and I’m First Aid/CPR certified. I’ve been working with kids in all kinds of settings for years, and caring for others has always come naturally to me. I started babysitting at 15, and soon after spent a full year helping out at a daycare with children ranging from 9 months to 8 years old. Since then, I’ve continued to grow my experience in different environments. As well as being the oldest child in my family. For the past five summers, I’ve been a sleep away camp counselor, teaching kids how to sailing and living with kids ages 6 to 14 for up to eight weeks at a time. I’ve also volunteered with preschoolers through Jumpstart for a year, supporting early learning and social development. Right now, I’m a college student doing work‑study at an elementary school, where I assist in both kindergarten and 2nd grade classrooms. These experiences have taught me patience, creativity, responsibility, and how to connect with kids of all ages. Families and employers describe me as dependable, upbeat, and calm under pressure. I’m great with routines, homework help, playtime, and keeping kids engaged. I’m also comfortable with pets and happy to help with light household tasks. And most importantly, I genuinely love what I do. Kids can tell when someone enjoys being around them, and I think that’s what makes the biggest difference.

Hi! My name is Nissa, and I was born and raised in Cambridge on Garden Street. I come from a big, loving family of ten children—six of whom are adopted from all over the world—which means I grew up surrounded by lots of personalities, laughter, and life lessons! Although I don’t have children of my own, I’ve helped raise my 13 nephews and 3 nieces, and caring for kids has always come naturally to me. After spending over 25 years in New York, I’m so happy to be returning to my beloved hometown of Cambridge. For the past few years, I’ve worked in the hospitality industry as a Front Desk Concierge at an Inn in the Hamptons, where I’ve honed my skills in warmth, patience, and organization. I also ran the gymnastics program at a local summer camp for two seasons and have nannied for a few wonderful families whose children will always have a special place in my heart. While I explore my next chapter in hospitality, I’d love to spend time doing something that brings me joy—being around kids and sharing in their playful, imaginative world. I’ve been a nanny for the past twelve years, with experience ranging from infant to early elementary school aged. I just wrapped up my most recent job as the family’s needs are changing and now I’m looking for work while I figure out what’s next for me. I don’t drive, so I can only take jobs that are MBTA accessible; I’m also experienced and comfortable with taking kids on the t/bus if necessary.
