Hi! My name is Nissa, and I was born and raised in Cambridge on Garden Street. I come from a big, loving family of ten children—six of whom are adopted from all over the world—which means I grew up surrounded by lots of personalities, laughter, and life lessons! Although I don’t have children of my own, I’ve helped raise my 13 nephews and 3 nieces, and caring for kids has always come naturally to me. After spending over 25 years in New York, I’m so happy to be returning to my beloved hometown of Cambridge. For the past few years, I’ve worked in the hospitality industry as a Front Desk Concierge at an Inn in the Hamptons, where I’ve honed my skills in warmth, patience, and organization. I also ran the gymnastics program at a local summer camp for two seasons and have nannied for a few wonderful families whose children will always have a special place in my heart. While I explore my next chapter in hospitality, I’d love to spend time doing something that brings me joy—being around kids and sharing in their playful, imaginative world. I have been working in childcare since 2017, primarily in center-based environments, where I have held lead teacher positions throughout my career. Working with children has always been something I'm deeply passionate about, and I have experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to school-aged children. In addition to my childcare background, I took some time to expand my professional experience by working as a retail technology manager on Newbury Street in Boston. That role strengthened my leadership, communication, organization, and problem- solving skills, all of which I bring into my work with children and families. After stepping away to enjoy maternity leave with my own baby, I am now looking for a wonderful family to support through babysitting or nannying.
