Hey, It’s Eda! Since childhood, I’ve had a natural connection with children and truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m a patient, energetic, and responsible caregiver who values creating a safe, joyful, and creative environment. I have a background in child nutrition and a special interest in eating disorders, aiming to support healthy habits from an early age. I love incorporating activities like painting, street photography, playying tennis, nature walks, and morning runs into children’s daily routines to keep them engaged and active. I’m currently completing my third summer in the U.S. as a J1 student and living in downtown Chicago to experience city life. I’ve previously worked with a wonderful family of three children here in Chicago and would be happy to provide them as a reference. I spent 2-3 years working as a certified behavioral technician with children who have autism and special needs, including nonverbal kids and children with challenging behaviors. That experience taught me deep patience, consistency, and how to connect with kids who communicate differently. I recently graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Computer Science and am in my gap year, which means I have a flexible schedule and a lot of availability. I've also babysat my younger cousins throughout my life and am comfortable with everything from diapering and feeding infants to homework help and activities with older kids. I have my own car and am happy to drive. I'm also a cat owner and comfortable with pets.

I have experience with all ages of children and working with the senior population as well. I love to immerse myself into the world of the "littles" and see things through their eyes. It is amazing to watch them learn and grow when you become united in their daily activities. With the senior population, I love listening to their stories and letting them enjoy bringing their past experiences into any present situations we are currently enjoying. I also have experience with those that have memory issues and understand how to help them through their frustrations when needed.
