$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Tyngsboro, MA

My name is Kathleen and I have 10+ years of experience with children. I’m a college grad/SAHM to a 4 year old living in Tewksbury. He would not need to come with me. He has autism and does ABA and speech therapy, so I have experience in these areas. I started working as babysitter when I was a teenager and continued to work as a nanny in college. I worked an office job for a few years but started to have some problems with my health (I’m a type 1 diabetic) that led me back into childcare. From 2[removed] I worked as a nanny for a baby girl from age 4 months until she turned 1.5. From 2016-2018 I worked as a nanny for a family members newborn baby who is now 7 years old. From 2019 until 2021 I worked as a sitter and driver for a 4 year old boy in the mornings, got him up and drove him to school and the job evolved into regular babysitting and school pickups. From May 2019 until Christmas 2019 I sat for a one year old baby girl until they put her in full time daycare. I watch a 4 year old boy occasionally starting June 2023. I have a clean background check and great references. I am fully COVID vaccinated. Hope to hear from you! Kathleen

Cindy $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi my name is Cindy, I have many years of child care experience. I am an LPN, daycare certified, and CPR certified. I have also had SIDS training. I have raised five of my own children. My children are all grown up with children of their own now. I am a patient person who believes in talking things out when a child is acting out. I am experienced with children ages 0 - 14. Relevant experience; I am First Aid certified, adult and infant/child CPR certified, SIDS trained, as a result of being an LPN. I I am daycare certified through previous daycare I worked at which takes 400 work hrs and Care Courses that needed to be passed in order to be achieved. I also have my CDA in teaching. Activities I enjoy doing with children: Infants- sensory activities using touch, sight, and hearing. Reading books to them. Going outside for walks. Toddlers- sensory activities, learning ABCs, counting to 10, colors. Starting to teach them the days of the week and the months of the year. Reading books to them and taking them outside to play. 4-5- building on their ABCs by writing, which they would have touched on as toddlers. Counting higher. Activities and curriculum surrounding counting, ABCs, the weather, doing projects as another way to learn. School-age children- making sure their homework is done. Doing activities around what they are learning in school. In each age group, there are always opportunities to take little day trips to learn new things. I also love to teach children as they get a little older how to cook and how to do every day tasks. My favorite nanny moment: When a parent told me that her child wanted to add me to their family❤️ The most important part about being a nanny: For me, the most important part about being a nanny is providing a safe space for the children to thrive with lots of support and love. Making sure that they know how special and important they are. If they have that foundation, they will grow up to be amazing adults. House Management: Includes errands such as grocery shopping, post office, dry cleaners etc. Light housework such as vacuuming, dishes, tidying, organizing, prepping meals, cooking, changing children’s sheets weekly or as needed. Doing laundry etc. Household management gets done when children are at school or when children are napping, depending on the age of the children that I am caring for. Running errands while watching babies would occur around napping schedules. I hope to hear from you 🌼

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
