$23 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Andrews Air Force Base, MD

My name is Paula, I'm 29 years old, and I've been caring for children for over 7 years, from newborns to 14 years old. My most recent experience is caring for an 11-month-old baby full-time, Monday through Friday, for the past 7 months. I've also cared for an 9-month-old baby for about 8 months, and a 2.5-year-old girl for approximately 2 years. Some of the activities I do with babies include early stimulation to improve their motor skills. I have experience in stimulation with exercises such as tummy time, learning to crawl, and mental stimulation of babies (colors, textures, letters, words). I do activities with them and am fully responsible for their feeding and clothing. I'm currently looking for part-time work, as I'm free on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm a very good driver, with over 10 years of experience, a driver's license, and a clean record. I'm also responsible, patient, committed, punctual, cheerful, and trustworthy. I love my family and animals very much. In short, I really enjoy caring for them, loving them, and teaching them that it is the best legacy of love we can leave.

Paula is amazing with my 18 month year old. She started working with us when she was 6 months and has been invaluable since. She has helped my daughter crawling and then walking. She is great handling my daughter and German Shepard. She is soo gentle and has soo much patience. keeps her active at all times and constantly challenging her to thrive. She takes her to the library all the time and likes to read. She give me peace of mind and I know when I have to go to work she will be in safe hands.

Booked by 5 families in Andrews Air Force Base, MD

Hello, I am Donja. I was born and raised in Washington DC. I just finished my 3rd year being a math teacher. I am now a doctoral student taking a break from teaching to nanny in my free time while in school. My interest in kids began after my siblings were born. I am the oldest of four. My passion for babysitting started when I became my family’s go to baby sitter and now after sitting for 5+ years, and 3 years teaching I have enhanced my skills of babysitting for other families. I enjoy taking walks in DC, visiting the museums, and pretty much doing anything adventurous. I also enjoy helping people, and volunteering in the community. I look forward to working with you all!

Donja was very quick to respond, arrived early, and my 5yr old daughter loved her so much she didn’t want her to leave:) She was very kind, sweet natured and attentive. Definitely a keeper. Will have her again without a doubt!

Hi! As the oldest of three children and a previous after-school instructor, writing tutor, and nanny, I am a caregiver at heart. Raised in Mexico and later Las Vegas, NV, I am fluent in Spanish, currently a law student, love exercising, and hold a passion for cooking delicious (and traditional) Mexican cuisine. As a former tutor, I am passionate about the art of language and writing. I have experience tutoring Kindergarten through college level students and believe every child deserves individualized care and respect. My caregiving experience is vast, from serving as a formal nanny, to raising my own younger siblings with attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and care. I further believe every home deserves respect, and offer housekeeping services as well. I am committed to serving you and your family.

Alexandria
$28 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Andrews Air Force Base, MD

A little bit about me… Families often tell me I bring a calm, and engaging presence—especially with babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. I love nurturing curiosity through play, encouraging independence, and creating predictable routines that help children feel safe, confident, and deeply cared for. I have several years of experience with infants as well as elementary aged children. Over the past year, I've had the privilege of serving as a full-time live-out nanny for a wonderful family with two energetic, curious children (currently ages 3 and 5). With my experience homeschooling and parenting my own high energy children, this role strengthened my abilities even more. My responsibilities include daily transportation in the family's vehicle to and from school, camps, appointments, play dates, and extracurricular activities, while maintaining a safe, organized, and dependable routine. I am neurodiversity-affirming and have additional training supporting children with learning differences, including dyslexia, and dysgraphia. My focus is always connection-based care. I would love to learn how I can support you and your families needs. I am CPR and First Aid certified, comfortable with pets, and background checked with clean driving record.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Wendy. Any family who has the opportunity to hire her will be incredibly fortunate. Wendy brings an infectious energy and enthusiasm to everything she does. She is creative, patient, and has a remarkable ability to connect with children, even in the most challenging situations. Whether she's helping a child navigate potty training, working through meltdowns, or supporting them during moments of sensory overload, she approaches every challenge with calm, empathy, and skill. She teaches children effective ways to cope with big emotions, communicate their needs, and build confidence. Her knowledge of child development is exceptional, and it's clear that her years of experience have given her both incredible wisdom and intuition. She creates a safe, nurturing environment where children feel loved, supported, and encouraged to grow. At the same time, she establishes clear expectations and helps children develop respect, kindness, and independence. Wendy is also an excellent communicator. She is reliable, professional, and always open to feedback and collaboration. We always felt comfortable discussing ideas or concerns, knowing she would listen thoughtfully and work with us as a true partner in caring for our children. Most importantly, our children absolutely adored her. They looked forward to every day they spent with Wendy, and we loved knowing they were not only having fun but also learning, growing, and thriving under her care. We are incredibly grateful for the time our family had with Wendy. She has made a lasting impact on our children, and we recommend her without hesitation to any family looking for an exceptional nanny.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
