Hi everyone! I am currently rising junior in college but I am a Baltimore City native. I have been nannying and babysitting for going on six years now! I also have been a certified lifeguard for four years, and I was an overnight camp counselor for the previous two summers. I am very passionate about keeping kids safe, happy and healthy! Hey! I’m Maliah! So excited to meet you! I am a proud college student at Morgan State University, studying political science and economics. I’m originally from sunny Phoenix, Arizona, but Baltimore has become a second home to me while I focus on school and continue doing something I truly enjoy — working with kids. Growing up as the youngest (and only girl!) with three older brothers, I always wished I had a little sister to look after — and I think that naturally made me love being around younger kids. I find joy in being a calm, caring presence for children, whether that means helping with homework, getting creative with arts and crafts, or just being a steady and fun part of their day. Outside of school and nannying, I’m a proud dog mom to a sweet Maltipoo named Zoe, who keeps me on my toes and teaches me a lot about patience, routines, and unconditional love — all things I bring into childcare too. I'd describe my personality as affable, adaptable, and kind. I'm a very easy person to talk to and get along with. I have a personality that people kinda grasp too. I love making people feel comfortable and confident around me. I like working with kids because I get to be there to witness the growth in through their childhood, to build connections and teach lesson. I've always had a passion for working with kids since I was young. I love to see the type of person they grow to be as they develop a personality of their on. I started working with kids when right after high school. After graduating I went straight into working at a day care. I will be pursuing early childhood education in school. In my spare time, I like to draw, paint, pottery. Anything that involves art are things I do on my spare time. My skills include patience, communication and compassion.
