I am currently a second grade teacher. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Morgan State University. I’ve been working with children in grades ranging from 1st -8th over the course of my program. Throughout my program I’ve learned the importance of letting kids creativity guide their learning and grow their minds. Outside of school, I’ve done summer long babysitting jobs for a few families. I’ve also been a tutor for the past two years for Literacy Brigage, working with kindergarten through 8th grade on building their overall literacy through the Orton Gillingham method.

Very professional sitter.

Jenness $18 per hour for 1 child

Hello! I’m a native Marylander and have lived in Baltimore for a very long time. I love children and have two grown daughters who are the joy of my life. They were only 27 months apart, so life was very busy, especially in their younger years. I babysat all through my middle and high school years before I headed off to college. My personality is warm, friendly, kind and caring. I love to laugh as much as possible!I love being outdoors as much as possible and so enjoy sharing that with children on walks, at the playground and in the back or front yard. I am patient with children and learn quickly how to adapt my “way” with them so they are happy and relaxed. I have a sister who has dementia and I spend a great deal of time with her. I travel to Salisbury, MD to be with her as much as possible. When my mother was ill with cancer, of all my siblings, I lived the closest to my parents and had the honor to care for her in the last six months of her life. I am very comfortable with seniors and very much enjoy sharing time with them. I have had a part time pet sitting business for about eight years. I love all animals - but I’m allergic to cats. Paired with the dog sitting I house sit which is so much fun! I always leave a home better than I found it.

Dhenifer $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi, my name is Dhenifer! I’m a college student and a professional childcare provider with over 5 years of experience caring for and supporting children from 2 months to 14 years old. I love helping children with their development, teaching and also learning with them through indoor and outdoor activities, depending on their age. I enjoy using imagination, playing, and truly connecting with children. I have experience with newborns, helping with tummy time, nap routines, introducing solid foods, and supporting first steps and first words. With toddlers, I work on language development, age-appropriate activities, imagination stimulation, naps, crafts, and more. I have also helped children and teenagers with sports, homework, language learning, and driving. I naturally keep spaces organized and tidy, and I learn new things very fast. I also have experience with pet sitting and household tasks. I’m looking forward to supporting your family!

Inna $18 per hour for 1 child

I really enjoy caring for both kids and animals, and I feel most fulfilled when I can help them feel safe, happy, and supported. I’ve worked with children of all ages—through volunteering, coaching older kids in volleyball, and just spending time helping them learn and have fun. Coaching taught me how to be patient, encouraging, and adapt to each child’s personality. I also volunteer with animals, which has helped me understand their needs and how to care for them with attention and compassion. I’m reliable, organized, and I like keeping things running smoothly, whether that’s helping with daily routines, activities, or household tasks. I think what really makes me a great caregiver is that I genuinely enjoy being there for others, and I try to make every moment positive, safe, and meaningful.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
