my name is Navya I am the eldest daughter of 2 hardworking legal immagrints. I am 18 years old and, I have over 10+ years of experinace with babysitting and carring for diffrent children from infancy up to 14/15 years old. I am currently working towards getting my highschool diploma and Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I am a proud mom of 1 child and a cat. While my first-degree studies are based in Hospitality and Tourism Management, I have worked specifically as a Senior Teacher in two different licensed pre-schools since I became a mom. I have gained experience working with children from ages 0-10 years old during this time. Nonetheless, I have been babysitting children for more than 15 years. I enjoy working and being around children long before I became a parent. I am very passionate about teaching and having fun with children, while helping them reach their different developmental milestones. I do also have experience working with children on the spectrum. I do not have much experience working with Seniors; however, I enjoy spending time in their company, and I am a very fast learner. While I am available for babysitting gigs, I am looking to grow with a family that is open to having a lesson plan (to include indoors and outdoor activities) tailored towards their child's growth and development. Caring for children has always felt natural to me it’s something that truly fills my heart. I love creating moments where kids can laugh, learn, and just be themselves. Whether we’re playing outside, doing something creative, or winding down with a story or a board game, I try to make every interaction meaningful and fun. I like keeping open communication with parents and making sure everyone feels comfortable and connected. I’m also happy to lend a hand around the house, help with meals, or supervise swimming when needed. Being part of a child’s growth and helping them feel safe and supported is what brings me the most joy.

I am currently a second grade teacher. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Morgan State University. I’ve been working with children in grades ranging from 1st -8th over the course of my program. Throughout my program I’ve learned the importance of letting kids creativity guide their learning and grow their minds. Outside of school, I’ve done summer long babysitting jobs for a few families. I’ve also been a tutor for the past two years for Literacy Brigage, working with kindergarten through 8th grade on building their overall literacy through the Orton Gillingham method.

With 4 years of experience, I'm excited about the opportunity to provide loving and attentive care to children. I have a strong background in engaging children through fun and educational activities, promoting both creativity and learning. In addition to offering age-appropriate support and supervision, I am happy to assist with light housework, including meal prep, tidying up, and laundry. My goal is to create a warm, safe, and structured environment where vour children feel valued and supported. I am certified in First Aid and CPR, ensuring that I can respond effectively in any emergency. * I have a psychology degree and would like to pursue a career in clinical psychology and children's psychology which is why I love working with children as I learn so much from them.
