I generally love children and I've been looking after them for as long as I can remember, I started out with my siblings, then nieces and nephews and I would look after my neighbors kids for free. I have about 18 years total of which I have almost 14 years paid experience under my belt providing a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which children ages infant to teenagers thrived and developed under my care. Hi! My name is Rachel, and I recently graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a major in Biomedical Science. I aspire to become a pediatrician because I’ve always loved working with children and creating positive, fun experiences for them. I have been working with kids for over 5 years through babysitting, summer camps, church programs, and mentoring experiences. I previously worked with kids at Brooksfield School summer camp, where I helped lead engaging activities including sports and STEM projects. I loved getting to build connections with the kids while keeping camp fun, active, and supportive. I have also volunteered with children through Sunday School at my local church. In addition to childcare experience, I played collegiate lacrosse, so I enjoy staying active and encouraging kids to participate in sports, games, and outdoor activities.
