More recently I have returned to working in childcare in a more formal setting as I work towards my degree. For the past year, I was a clinical social work intern at an elementary school in Montgomery County, MD providing child play therapy to students ages 5-11 with a variety of support needs. Prior to that, I worked at Horton's Kids, a non-profit in Southeast DC providing after school programming and supports to families in the neighborhood. I assisted with after school enrichment programs and also worked directly with students K-8 on social and emotional learning.
