Nicol 1 review
$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Suitland, MD

Hi! My name is Nicol, and I truly enjoy caring for kids and supporting families. I'm patient, responsible, creative, and friendly. I communicate with parents through daily reports, texts, or phone calls, always respecting their preferred method. I have my First Aid and CPR certification and more than 4 years of experience caring for newborns, infants, toddlers, and older children. I love playing all kinds of games with kids! Arts and crafts are definitely a favorite--I love making things together! I also enjoy puzzles, video games, and educational games. I've even played games to help teach Spanish to kids I've cared for too! And of course, I enjoy outdoor activities, like hiking, volleyball, or just playing outside. I'm open to anything that keeps the kids happy and learning while having fun (and of course with the parents authorization) . My goal is always to create a safe, positive, and fun environment where children feel supported and cared for.

Nico is a great babysitter. We have used her multiple multiple times over the years. She started with us when we just had one, and now she watches both our boys. She’s very warm, and the babies like having her as their sitter. She’s easy to work with and communicative. She was our friend’s au pair, as well, until her kids were both in school. She’s trustworthy and you should give her a chance! She’s the best!

Bolu $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Bolu and I’m currently a sophomore at GWU. I am offering child care, pet care, and household services. I love working with and have been helping kids ever since I was 10 years old. My responsibilities have included teaching basic math, language, and hygiene skills; tutoring, crafts, and homework help. I am very enthusiastic about working with children because it fuels my career goals of working in pediatric care. I am also able to run errands for the household, where metro accessible. I would be very happy to work with families with pets. I am CPR/BLS/AED certified.

Ludi $18 per hour for 1 child

Hi!! It’s so nice to meet you. My name is Ludi though everyone calls me Ela. I am currently in my last year of college at Howard University where I am studying Radiation Therapy. I would describe myself as kind, reliable, responsible and energetic which makes taking care of children a responsibility I greatly enjoy. I was born in Eritrea and grew up in Seattle where I enjoyed hiking, going on walks, and visiting some amazing bookshops and cafes. I first starting helping care for children when my sister was born. While I can’t believe that she is nine now (!!!), I have enjoyed helping take care of her since she was born. Since my mother was a contract worker and my father worked doubles, taking care of her was a responsibility I took very seriously and found to be beyond rewarding. The skills and patience I gained when helping her learn to read or understand her frustrations when she couldn’t verbalize them are ones I use now as I study patient care. Since taking care of her, I have been trusted with the care of children of all ages and varying needs. I personally enjoy reading together, going on walks, working through homework, playing games, cooking, and making origami animals with kids. I am very health conscious and have received both Covid shots as well as three boosters along with my yearly flu shot. It is important to me that I develop long lasting, and meaningful connections with families I can provide services to. I can’t wait to meet you!!

Jouel $22 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Jouel, and I’ve been caring for children for the past seven years. I started babysitting for family and friends, and over time, it turned into something I truly enjoy and have become really confident in. I’ve worked with kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens, and I’m comfortable handling everything from diaper changes and bedtime routines to homework help and fun, engaging activities. I always aim to create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where kids feel supported and parents feel at ease. I’m reliable, patient, and I understand how important it is to tailor my care to each child’s personality and needs. I’d love the opportunity to bring that same care and energy to your family!

Lilla $23 per hour for 1 child

I am in my final year of teacher training, and as I look back on my journey so far, I realize how much working with kids has shaped who I am. Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to teach in both elementary and high school, and it has been amazing to watch students grow, learn, and gain confidence in themselves. For eight years, I have also babysat for several families, caring for children ages 2 to 12, which taught me how important it is to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. My involvement in scouting has been another huge part of my life—over the past ten years, I’ve worked with kids from 6 to 18, guiding them through challenges, adventures, and leadership opportunities. I even spent time in Colorado working at the YMCA, leading outdoor lessons for kids ages 8 to 16, which combined two things I love most: teaching and being outside. Across all of these experiences, one thing has become clear—I am most fulfilled when I’m working with kids. Being outdoors, learning alongside them, and helping them discover their strengths makes me feel like I am truly following my passion in life.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
