Bahar $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Bahar. I’ve been working with children anywhere from newborns to teenagers for the past 10 years. I have worked with 3 babies, one from 3 months until she was almost three, and 2 in a nanny share from 4 months until 18 months. I’m also certified in infant and child CPR and AED, and have experience with sleep training. I have a bachelor’s degree in theater. I love working with children because 1. They tell me funny stuff 2. They teach me new ways to look at the world. I have worked with families and schools in Metro Detroit

$17 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Grosse Pointe, MI

Hi! I’m a 21-year-old, CPR-certified caregiver who genuinely loves working with children and creating a fun, safe, and comfortable environment for them. I have experience caring for children of different ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. I’ve worked in childcare settings, provided one-on-one care, babysat for family and others, and have experience working with children on the autism spectrum. What I love most about babysitting is getting to know each child and building a genuine connection with them. I love getting down on their level, playing with them, talking with them, doing activities they enjoy, and making them feel comfortable and understood. I’m naturally patient, caring, playful, and dependable, and I always want the children I’m caring for to feel like they’re having a great time while still being safe and well cared for. I’m also a huge animal lover and am very comfortable around pets! I’m happy to care for families with dogs, cats, or other pets and would love giving them attention and affection too. My goal is always to make things easier for parents by being someone they can trust to care for their children and pets with the same patience and care I would give my own family.

“Great!”

I also have experience working with children in daycares where i focus on creating fun, engaging and nurturing experiences that support their development. I truly enjoy what i do-whether its cooking, helping families manage their daily routines, or simply spending quality time whit those i care for. My goal is always to provide dependable, high quality care while making a positive difference in people lives.

Katlyn $18 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Katlyn- I’m a kind and outgoing design major, currently attending Wayne State University. I’m going into my last year of school for my Bachelors in the fall! I love to spend my time planning fun and creative activities, going to the park and ( very recreationally ) playing sports like volleyball, throwing a football, or doing yoga. Video games have always been a super fun way for me to let loose and turn my brain off at the end of the day. As for my professional experience, I spent a few years with the YMCA doing before and afterschool care. I worked with Elementary School kids attending the UPA Charter Schools across Detroit. Children I worked with typically ranged from ages 5-12, and I’d supervise them in groups of 10-15, so I’m absolutely equipped for a fast-paced ( and high energy ) environment! Over my time there I enjoyed developing and implementing an engaging and creative after-care program schedule. There’s plenty of extensive training that I’ve had the opportunity to develop as well, including playground safety classes, CPR training, behavioral management courses, and more. I love a structured environment, and developing something that is just as fun as it is reliable and rewarding. Being a good role model and providing a safe space for a child to learn, grow, and thrive is something I find very rewarding! The opportunity to do rewarding and meaningful work watching children, while also working on my own personal career development is something I’m looking for in an family employer ❤️ I hope to bring nothing but happiness, safety, and reliability to families I work with.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
