I as well as having child & baby BLS training & I have my ACCT certification (assistant childcare teacher course) and a year and half experience working in a daycare! Hi, my name is Riya I have over 10 years of experience in childcare, currently I work as the Local Childcare Coordinator for GreatAuPairUSA. I've gained organizing skills, cleaning, cooking, etc. I love arts & crafts, making yummy dishes like homemade mac and cheese to my homemade chocolate chip cookies. I also love animals like dogs and cats; I grew up with both but also don't mind pet snakes and other little creatures! I myself have niece's and a nephew as well as gained a daughter from the loss of a friend unfortunately, but I treat her as if she was my own blood. I am adopted and understand what it's like to feel so different from the rest, and having a brother and father with disabilities, has truly taught me how kindness and patience help those around you succeed. I grew up in Minneapolis, MN, one of the eldest among my 9 siblings. It meant a lot of responsibilities early on. After graduating from Washburn, I continued my studies at MCTC, focusing on social work and psychology. I now go to the U Of M to finish my studies . I'm passionate about working with kids and strongly believe in starting mental health awareness early. Also CPR trained!
