Hi! I’m Olivia. I’m 25 years old. I’m trying to find a summer nanny job as I’m due in early August. I would love to come back afterwards. I prefer developing relationships and keeping consistency. I have two years studying psychology in hopes of working and helping children in the future. I’ve been working in childcare for about 3 years, primarily with toddlers-prek. I’ve babysat and nannied throughout my highschool and early college years. I’ve traveled with families and have experience working with children on the spectrum. Working in childcare as a lead teacher, I’m used to being with 7-10 kids by myself, with the a whole day of planned of activities. I like to stay busy! I am CPR/first aid certified. I have Nursing Assistant experience as well. I have a one year old myself and would love to take her along to enjoy the activities and to have a playmate or two! I’m very artistic, creative, adventurous and a huge nature person. If I can, I will be outside! I love arts and crafts, going on adventures, and seeing the spark/confidence of kids when they learn. I’m not a technology person as I believe it depletes real learning that comes from experience, play and social skills. I’m willing to do household tasks, cook, help with school and potty training. Hello everyone! My name is Melissa, and I am very new to this site. You can call me nanny Mcphee! I am not kidding when I say this! I have this strong internal mother instinct that naturally drives me to create a safe, fun, and loving atmosphere for children in my presence. I was very fortunate to gain a wealth of experience working with children in all age groups in a multitude of different school settings. I worked for Spokane schools district 81 (Spokane Washington) as an Instructional aid/float classified substitute. In this position, I worked with children with special needs, children who needed behavioral intervention, and I worked side by side with teachers in an array of different classroom settings. My experience does not end here, I also worked as an Education Assistant and had the pleasure to work with students from age groups K-12 in a clinical/learning environment at Prairie Care and I worked as a lead teach in a daycare center for one year.. My personality is very exuberant and child-like. Most people would say I have an innocence to me that awakens my inner child. It's no surprise that children tend to warm up to me very quickly. Throughout my personal life, I have played the role of a nanny or babysitter for many of my family members, neighbors, and friends. I love animals so much and I have cared for cats and dogs from previous pet-owner experience. My number one goal in life, is to achieve happiness through helping other people. What better way can I achieve this none other than putting a smile on a person's face and filling their heart with laughter. Lastly, I graduated from college with an AAS, AA degree, I hold a Medical Assistant certification from Spokane Community College and I completed a year of college credits from Eastern Washington University with a focus on education and pedagogy. At the moment, I am available as an on-call nanny. I currently work as a school bus driver which takes up my schedule throughout the week. I can always work with families and be flexible with scheduling.
