With this schedule I worked every day of the week, Monday-Friday for one family, Saturday-Sunday for the other. For the C. family (which I worked full-time) I started watching their children when they were 8 months and 12 years old, and continued to work with them until they were 4 and 15! For this family in particular my duties relied a lot on the familial values and structures they had in place, for example, there was a limit on screen time with the kids and a big emphasis on outdoor play and exploration. In addition, this family followed cultural diet structure, involving a lot of plant-based and organic foods for preparation. A lot of my duties revolved around meal preparation and following these dietary restrictions. For the Co. family (part-time) I began staying with their kids at 9 months old and 4 years old, and worked with them until they were 4 years old and 8 years old. A lot of my duties surrounding this position revolved around transportation of the boys, often to and from activities. I also handled making sure the oldest took his medication as prescribed, worked a lot with potty training, explored creative outlets, etc.

I've worked with children my whole life had always wanted to either own a daycare or become a nanny/babysitter. Watching kids grow and develop is something I love to do. I love dogs of kind and love caring for them. Dogs are family too so they should be treated as such. I worked in a nursing home for four years and loved talking and helping the elders do their day to day task.

My experience working with children began 34 years old when my mom signed me and my sister up for a babysitting class at the Red Cross. I began caring for children of family friends and other families within the community. By college age, I found a love for volunteering for various community organizations that offered services for teens, homeless community, and my church. Caregiving comes natural for me because my parents and family members were always giving in some way or form to others. From a young age, I learned to be unselfish and see the needs of others. That translated into my adulthood and professional career. Last year I added senior care to services I can provide. I come from a musical family so I enjoy music and arts in my spare time. I also enjoy spending time and attending the games of my 10 year godson who is involved in several sports.
