Hi! My name is Colette, I'm 18 years old and my previous caregiving experience took place in a preschool I took care of toddlers ages 1-4. During my experience i had to supervise children during play, meals and nap time. I kept the environment peaceful and clean and made sure the kids were comfortable and happy. I have previous baby sitting experience of 6 years. I grew up taking care of toddlers and babies. I previously lived in Trinidad and Tobago and migrated to North Carolina April 28th 2025. Growing up I always wanted a sibling this is where my love for children developed. My first babysitting job started as a teenager. After high school I attended college at East Carolina University my degree is elementary education and child development family relations. After becoming a first time mom the thought of having someone I did not know provide care terrified me. I decided to stay home and become a nanny and help other moms in my same situation. I have also spent a lot of time looking after my grandfather, who requires 24 Hr care. I am very friendly and easy-going. I enjoy children they bring me a smile on my face every time I see them. And I have baby sat for my baby cousins and family friend kids. I engage with kids and have their attention. Play with them, teach them education that’s appropriate for their age. Help with their homework. And I love spending time with them and doing what I can to help.
