Hello! My name is Rachel. I was born in Washington State and lived there my whole life until May 2025, when my boyfriend and our dogs moved to Manchester. Before we moved away from our home state, I had been working in childcare for almost 5 years. Four of those years I spent working as a Teacher's Assistant for a toddler classroom. I have a great passion for nature and love being outside hiking, among other activities. Working in the toddler room at my previous job, one of my favorite parts about the job was going on nature walks around our city to different parks and letting the kids explore nature. I also really enjoyed music time with the children and free play, where I was able to observe them play and learn more about their interests. I have lots of experience helping young children go to sleep that I have multiple strategies I use depending on the temperament of the child. For families with pets, as I mentioned earlier I have dogs of my own. I grew up with dogs (small and large) and have extensive experience dog/cat sitting. Hello! My name is Maiya and I have experience as a preschool teacher, full time nanny, and as a house manager. I have been caring for children for almost 10 years, and have worked with infants as young as 3 months old, toddlers, school aged children, and teens. I love being a positive person in a child’s life and getting to watch them learn and grow! Aside from childcare, my other duties and responsibilities have included housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, pet care, swimming supervision, overnight care, traveling with families, running errands, school pick up and drop off, bedtime routines, and more.
