Hello!
My name is Montelius and I’m from Silver City, New Mexico. I have a strong passion for working with children. I’ve been caring for kids since I was 17, including babysitting children ages 5–15, house sitting, and looking after family pets—including, at times, farm animals. Now at 21, I bring several years of hands-on experience and a deep commitment to creating a safe, engaging environment for every child I work with.
In addition, I have three years of experience directing children’s theater, where I’ve worked with over 25 kids in drama camps and theater productions. This experience has helped me develop a unique ability to connect with children of all personalities—whether they’re shy, outgoing, or sometimes a bit challenging. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely interested in helping each child feel seen, heard, and supported.
I love encouraging creativity, imagination, and self-expression. Music is a big part of my life, and I enjoy sharing that with kids in fun and engaging ways. I strive to create an environment where children feel excited to learn, play, and truly be themselves.
I’m also happy to help with daily routines, tutoring, cooking healthy meals, cleaning, and safely walking or accompanying children wherever they need to go—whether that’s by foot, bus, or subway.
Working with kids isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’m truly passionate about. I take pride in providing a calm, positive presence while making sure children feel happy, supported, and inspired.
