Hello! My name is Katryna, and I’m a preschool teacher, musician, and experienced childcare provider based in NYC. I currently teach at a family learning and social club in Tribeca, and I’m looking for part-time or occasional childcare work to supplement my teaching schedule. I’m a graduate of The Institute of American Musical Theatre and have been working with children for 10 years through teaching, babysitting, and performing arts education. I’ve taught music, theatre, martial arts, and creative programming to children ages 2–12, in addition to my infant babysitting experience and I’m CPR/First Aid and EpiPen trained. Growing up in a military family with younger siblings taught me early on how important it is for kids to feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. I bring that same warmth and respect to the children I work with, whether we’re making music, getting creative, or just hanging out at home. :)

A little about me: I’m respectful, responsible, punctual, outgoing, and truly passionate about caring for children. I take my responsibilities seriously, always bring a positive attitude, and do my best to create a safe, happy, and comfortable environment for every child in my care. I’m also a mom to a sweet 1 year old, which has given me even more hands-on experience with routines, meals, naps, playtime, and all the little moments that come with caring for young children. For daytime positions, my son would usually come with me, so I always like to be upfront about that. I’m very comfortable caring for more than one child at a time and balancing different ages and routines. For evening or nighttime babysitting, my baby would not need to come with me, since he sleeps through the night. That gives me more flexibility for date nights, dinners, events, or occasional evening care. I love keeping kids engaged both indoors and outdoors through creative play, reading, crafts, walks, playground time, libraries, and age-appropriate activities. I enjoy getting to know each child’s personality and interests so I can make our time together fun, meaningful, and special. Childcare for me once was a hobby that has blossomed into my life long purpose. I have always adored children and take pride in being a part of so many family, friends and associates’ villages. I have been a nanny both part time and full time for multiples and a nanny share. Currently, I’ve received my Child Development Associate, I am a full time assistant teacher at a daycare, & a direct support provider for a child with special needs, 4 years and counting. After school hours and most weekends I am a babysitter for local, school and referred clients. In the past few years I’ve focused on expanding my knowledge and experience. I hold several certifications & undergo extensive trainings to comply with both state & daycare regulations. I will always go above and beyond to grow, as no day is the same and I love that I get to tap into my fun side. Hello, I'm Xiomara. I absolutely adore working with children. I have experience with babies; toddlers and pre-school age, as well as pre- teens in an academic setting. I am sweet, nurturing and very caring. Parents and teachers I have worked with describe me as warm, very patient, kind, empathetic and enthusiastic. I started working with children, and families, when I was 18 years old. I treat children with love as if they were my own. I am intuitive and attentive to all aspects of a infant needs, from diaper changes to being bottle fed, cuddles, tummy time, nap time to making healthy purées. I also love to read, speak and sing to them throughout the day. With older kids, I promote fun and positivity, safety and encourage a child's natural talent.
