Hi! I’m Gabby. I’m 28 - born and raised in NYC. I’ve had a huge passion for childcare since being a teen. Most recently I babysat for 2 gorgeous twins - 1 boy and 1 girl from their ages 5-7, until they moved away in 2024. I built a strong bond with them almost instantly that only got stronger over the 2 years. Since then, I've been doing occasional gigs here and there, but I hope to find more steady work. I’ve had several other jobs related to child care as well as pet care. I’m naturally a very nurturing person, so babysitting especially is something I gravitate towards. It’s also in my blood as I come from a line of teachers! My grandmother was a teacher in her day and my mother is an assistant teacher at an amazing nursery school! Everyday she comes home from work excited to show me new pictures of her babies at school - so sweet. Aside from childcare, I also have a background in art from my father’s side. As much as I love children, I'm currently finishing up a degree in Interior Design at Parsons (all asynchronous classes, so it would not interfere with my schedule). My favorite thing in the world is being able to combine my two passions – childcare and art! I love teaching kids art and introducing them to new medias, even getting technical and teaching perspective such as drawing 3D objects! During my last job with the twins, I introduced them to felting which was very fun. It was so rewarding to see their colorful creations! Overall I’m looking forward to going back to childcare. Hi My name Is Audrey, I am a Theatre major at BMCC. I am offering childcare and senior care services. I used to be a camp counselor at a summer camp. For 9 weeks in the summer I had 9 different cabins each week of at least 12 kids. I took care of kids from ages 8 to 16. I led them in various outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, swimming, frisbee, and the list goes on! My responsibilities included teaching my campers outdoor skills, keeping them on track with the schedule, and inspiring each camper to be the best selves they can be. I worked at this camp for two summers from 2[removed]. Then I lived at home for a year before moving to New York and I babysat on the weekends in Tulsa Oklahoma for a family with two kids 8 and 10. My responsibilities included driving the kids to the park, driving them to soccer practice, cooking lunch and dinner, and general housekeeping. During this same year, I worked as a housekeeper then as a concierge at a retirement home that had a skilled nursing and an assisted living center. I worked all of these jobs and saved up my money to move to New York in August of 2024. Since moving to New York I've worked various service industry jobs and took a break from the service industry to start school. Now that I'm in school I've decided to hop back into childcare and or senior care. I also grew up with 3 dogs and I currently live with and take care of my roommate's cat so I am happy to work for families with pets!

I've worked as a Middle School tutor since I was in high school up until college. I worked briefly at an elementary school for 3 months. I'm the oldest sister of my family, so in general, I'm alright with kids. I served as a Cat volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in New York for a summer. Overall, I prefer to work with cats, but I'm ok with other animals (with care instructions, I can pick things up quickly).
