Hello! My name is Maryam, and I am a New York Native. I take pride in caring for children like me who are born and raised in the city, and I always bring in their unique experiences within my care. I prioritize the safety and security of the children in my care, so I have an active certification in First Aid and CPR. On a professional level, I have experience working as a teacher at a non profit education program in Tribeca for children ages 6-9. I have also worked as a summer camp instructor for incoming first graders in East Harlem. On a personal level, I am the oldest of 4, and caregiving was a natural part of my childhood. For the age of 12, I was responsible for my younger siblings ages 1-9. I also provided care for other families in my neighborhood with them citing my dependability as the primary reason they trust me with their children who were in a similar age range to my siblings. Through these experience, I learned to be nurturing, creative, and responsible. I am able to plan fun and engaging activities, keep kids on a schedule, make healthy snack and light meals for children of every dietary restriction, and provide homework help. I especially love exploring the city, so I always incorporate activities that allows children to engage with their urban backyard. I also have experience caring for infants- feeding, diapering, burping, tummy time, nap time etc - and I have general knowledge of infant safety and development. I also learned that I need to remain flexible in order to adapt to the unique needs of the children in my care. Additionally, I am comfortable with pets, and I have a special affinity for cats. Caring for children comes naturally for me. I love to be there for every milestone and to guide them through every pain point, and I am excited to care for little ones through it all.

I am local Children's Book author and friend of the Brooklyn community. I recently graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Public Health. During my time at UW, I assisted in Child Developmental research where I studied the impact of social cues on 12mo children. I have a passion for serving vulnerable populations and an understanding of how early life experiences tremendously impact an individual's lifelong wellness. I have over 4 years of experience caring for multiple age groups from Infancy to Middle School in both home and classroom settings. I've been babysitting for years, as well as I've been a children's music teacher for the past couple of years. I'm a good cook, I'm responsible, I know how to entertain kids, and I'm a hard worker. I just graduated high school, and I'm going to be a freshman at Skidmore College studying Business and minoring in Music. Hi, I’m Brianna and I am a preschool teacher in the Manhattan area offering occasional nannying services for toddlers/pre-K children, housework, and pet care.
