Booked by 10 families in Elmhurst, NY

Hi, my name is Bahara, I am 57 yo. I’m an engineer by education, but I’ve been a professional nanny for 15 years. My love for children led me to work I enjoy, and what brings me true pleasure. I have a wealth of experience raising children and helping them develop, as evidenced by the numerous positive recommendations. I believe that the main joy in working as nanny is the opportunity to share a piece of my soul and to observe kids’ growth. I like working with kids an early age, teaching them new and unknown skills: how to crawl, sit, use a potty, take their first steps, read books and sing songs. Also, I like to spend a time outdoors with kids, which allows us to explore the world: play active games, socialize with other kids and develop new skills. My years of experience and the love I am willing to share allow me to find a common language with little ones and their parents I constantly work for improving my skills in pedagogy by reading articles and literature. Kindness, love, honesty and openness, responsibility and reliability are inherent qualities of my personality, which children immediately feel. In addition, I have no bad habits, I am fully vaccinated from Covid and get a flu shot every year. I have a valid driver license and reliable car. I will be glad to meet and greet new kids and their families. Sincerely Bahara Hasanova

Bahara was such a delight. She was so responsive leading up to the booking and was so amazing with my son. We felt so comfortable leaving him with her. She came on time and was so attentive the moment she stepped in the door. I’d recommend her in a heartbeat and can’t wait for her to hang out with my son again.

Booked by 76 families in Elmhurst, NY

Hello! My name is Evelyn. I’m 27 years old and a caring, reliable, and professional babysitter with over six years of experience working with children. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Baruch College in New York after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. My studies gave me a deeper understanding of child development, family dynamics, communication, and social behavior, which helps me better understand each child’s unique needs and build positive relationships with both children and parents. After attending college and working with children for three years, I proudly served four years in the U.S. Army, where I strengthened my leadership, responsibility, patience, and organizational skills. My military experience helped me become calm under pressure, dependable, and adaptable, qualities that I bring to every family I work with. Caring for children has always been my passion, and I love creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment through play, learning, and positive interaction. In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, cooking, and staying organized. Spanish is my first language, and I’m happy to speak Spanish with children if parents would like to introduce or reinforce the language at home. I’m proud to have many wonderful reviews and repeat families. References are available upon request.

Easy to work with and great with my daughter!

***Please check my calendar for the most accurate view of my availability.*** Hello parents and guardians! Thank you so much for visiting my profile. My name is Jennifer. I am responsible, creative, patient, fascinated with child development, and most importantly love to embrace my inner child. The majority of my experience has been with children as young as 2 weeks old up to 14 years. I consider myself a big advocate of child-directed play, learning, and exploring but of course within a structure. I believe that children do best in environments where they are respected and understood. Having a caregiver understand how you feel as a child, and empathize with your feelings, while still setting boundaries, makes a big difference in their lives. I also LOVE furbabies, whether they're dogs, cats, or exotic pets, I’m a huge animal lover and enjoy interacting with them. I offer my services as a pet sitter as well, so please feel free to inquire about this. My favorite thing to do is travel to different places. My hobbies are photography, video editing, and writing. 🔸 SAFE COMMUTE: To ensure my safety and because things have changed drastically since early 2020, I require a car (Uber, Lyft, Curb, etc.) from or to your home depending on the time when your booking ends or starts. These apply for bookings that either start before 8:00 a.m. or that end after 8:00 p.m. (20:00). 🔸HOLIDAY RATES: When working holidays I do ask for 1.5x my standard rate. Please check my calendar for availability! It is updated daily but if there’s a time slot you need and don’t see available, please message me to inquire about it! 🔸CANCELLATION POLICY: I understand things may come up requiring you to cancel. I require 48 hours' notice for any cancellations. For less than 48 hours' notice, I charge 50% of the time booked. For cancellations of less than 24 hours’ notice, I require full payment for the time booked. This can be paid through a variety of money transfer apps: Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, or Paypal.

My name is Aleysia. . Most recently I was a live out nanny to a baby and as her parents decided they would like for her to be in daycare I am looking for a new position. I was responsible for the care of my young charge, and duties were inclusive of adhering to the mother's prescribed sleep and nap schedule as well as light meal preparation as she aged. I have prior experience in housekeeping and am an excellent cook if the need arises. **Fully vaccinated with both doses of Pfizer as of June 2021. Willing to provide proof. I also have experience as an after school sitter. In that position I performed after school pickups, did light housekeeping, some food prep and shuttling to after school activities. Ideally I would be available for a longterm position, but will accept the occasional and date night assignment. SAFE COMMUTE: To ensure my safety and because things have changed drastically since early 2020, I require a car (Uber, Lyft, Curb, etc.) from to your home depending on the time when your booking ends or starts. These apply for bookings that either starts or ends after 9pm. CANCELLATION POLICY: I understand things may come up requiring you to cancel. I require 48 hours notice for any cancellations. This can be paid through a variety of money transfer apps: Zelle, Apple Pay, or Paypal. LATE POLICY: I understand things may come up, when coming home, which is why I offer a 10 minute grace period. After 10 minutes, I charge $20 for every 20 minutes over the time agreed upon. Payable through Zelle, Apple Pay, or PayPal. HOLIDAY RATES: When working holidays I do ask for 1.5x my standard rate. "We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
