Hello! My name is Holland, I'm 24, and I am a part time graduate student (Masters in Forensic Psychology) based in Brooklyn, NY. I have a passion for social justice, safety, and the wellbeing of vulnerable individuals in our communities. In my free time I love to bake, read, and spend time with my cat, Bunny! I would describe myself as communicative, patient, and organized. I love to make sure everyone is on the same page at all times and highly value a collaborative approach when working with families and care teams. I have experience working in both private childcare (toddlers through middle school age) and as a mentor/behavior coach at state agencies (elementary through high school ages). I also have experience working with neurodivergent kiddos, including profound (nonverbal) autism and intellectual disabilities. I understand each child has their own strengths and difficulties, and I do my absolute best to meet them where they're at and in a manner that will be supportive to them and their goals. I am very comfortable with home tasks such as cleaning, cooking, organization, and schedule management. I am open to a family assistant role that includes all of the above if necessary (rate increases to reflect responsibilities, at least $5/hr for non-child related cleaning/cooking). As I am in grad school, I'm looking for a family with some flexibility as my schedule is subject to change each semester. From 2009 onward, I volunteered in different educational capacities to gain experience. In the summers of 2012 and 2013, I landed my first job working for the City of Fremont as a recreational aide. I planned the curriculum, led activities, and supervised the children. Later, I worked at Children's Fairyland for almost two years. In October 2014, I began working at Hortensia's Way preschool, where I stayed for almost seven years. I cared for infants from four months to children up to eight years of age. I enjoyed working at a preschool because I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of children, and I loved seeing them learn and grow. As a result of my years as a preschool assistant, I have experience in developing and implementing curricula, supervising and teaching children, as well as potty training and facilitating general play. I have nine early childhood education units, and I have worked for four years as a nanny, caring for infants who have grown into toddlers. I have assisted with tummy time, solids, engagement, and routines, as well as creating play spaces!

I have 8 years experience in my previous jobs I worked with newborn babies, children and adults with Autism, Down syndrome, ADHD also I have my diploma ECE (Early Childhood Education) I am bilingual English and Spanish. Hi families! My name is Amelie and I am originally from Boston, now living in NYC as a freshman at the Fashion Institute of Technology. For five years I worked as a sewing instructor at a sewing studio, teaching children from ages 4-15. I adore getting to know each kid and the variety of personalities that come with it. Teaching sewing has allowed me to help children develop confidence, focus, and self-expression through hands-on, engaging projects. I love guiding young learners through the process of turning ideas into something they can be proud of and seeing how they blossom creativity. Alongside that, I’ve spent several years providing babysitting and part-time care for children of various ages and needs. This has taught me how to adapt quickly, communicate clearly with both children and parents, and create a safe, supportive environment. My experience also includes working with children who have disabilities, which has deepened my understanding of how to personalize care and instruction with empathy and patience.
