I am currently working as an au pair and will be looking for a full-time nanny position after my au pair year ends on November 27. I am taking care of two children at the moment, aged 18 months and 4 years. I have been caring for them since they were 3 months and 3 years old. Before coming here, I volunteered at a daycare for two months, helping care for about 20 children aged 2–5 (not by myself). Hi! My name is Zainab , or as my kids like to call me: Miss Z! I am 19 years old and reside in the Saint James/Smithtown area. I am going to Suffolk county community college to pursue an associate degree in education but decided to take the spring semester off to get more hands on learning experience. Last semester I was offered a position as a preschool for six months as an assistant teacher and absolutely loved being there. I’m so passionate about children and I plan to make it my life’s work. I’m currently taking care of two kids ages 8 and 12 with autism and behavioral problems. However, that job will be ending next week which means I have more time to take care of YOUR kids! As a babysitter you can expect me to keep a neat and organized atmosphere and be an incredible nurturer. I plan fun education crafts on my own time that we can do. I love music dancing and singing so there’s always a lot of that, then of course: homework! I was a very studios kid in high school and can help out with homework in any grade level. Helping your kids get dressed for school and ready for bed is important as well because it teaches them routine especially when you’re not there so children can feel stable.
