Hi, I’m Meg! I’m a outdoorsy, kind, & dependable babysitter and current grad student based in Brooklyn with my own car. I have been in childcare for as long as I can remember — I earned my first Red Cross certification in 5th grade and have since worked in a variety of childcare capacities. Growing up in Colorado gave me a deeply rooted appreciation for spending time outdoors, and I enjoy planning active adventures and exploring parks whenever possible. I enjoy volunteering in NYC for Girls on the Run and Achilles Kids. As a summer camp counselor for the Snowmass Club, I supervised groups of 15-30 campers between the ages of 5 and 12. I led weekly outdoor recreation trips ranging from local hikes to river rafting, prioritizing children's safety throughout. For 4 years, I volunteered for a peer mentorship program as a “Big Buddy” for elementary and middle school students. In terms of experience, I have discovered my love of caring for children with my own son, and I have also previously fostered a dog several years ago. Would be happy to facilitate drop off / pickup from daycare, preschool, or school with your child(ren) safe & secure in my 4-seater, 5-point-harness wonderfold wagon (with rain cover). I hold a BA in English Literature and would also love to read with your child. Happy to cook/clean or do errands if you need. Note: My 3 year old would only join us if you need help evenings, weekends, or on days when his preschool is closed.
