I'm patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy the day-to-day of caring for little ones. I like keeping kids engaged with screen free play, hands-on activities, cooking simple meals and snacks, and helping older siblings with homework when needed. I am well versed with infants and am more than comfortable curating age appropriate activities (tummy time, swaddling, soothing, etc). Hi, I’m Meg! I’m a outdoorsy, kind, & dependable babysitter and current grad student based in Brooklyn with my own car. I have been in childcare for as long as I can remember — I earned my first Red Cross certification in 5th grade and have since worked in a variety of childcare capacities. Growing up in Colorado gave me a deeply rooted appreciation for spending time outdoors, and I enjoy planning active adventures and exploring parks whenever possible. I enjoy volunteering in NYC for Girls on the Run and Achilles Kids. As a summer camp counselor for the Snowmass Club, I supervised groups of 15-30 campers between the ages of 5 and 12. I led weekly outdoor recreation trips ranging from local hikes to river rafting, prioritizing children's safety throughout. For 4 years, I volunteered for a peer mentorship program as a “Big Buddy” for elementary and middle school students. Building one-on-one relationships refined my ability to connect with children of different ages and personalities. During the pandemic, I supported several families in a tutor role, helping elementary students remain engaged with remote learning while preparing lunch and planning craft projects.

I love working with kids and being outdoors. I am vaccinated and boosted. I have a little experience in tutoring and am a recent college graduate. I would be able to help out with homework as necessary. I am almost fluent in Spanish. I feel very confident in working with children with special needs. I have experience being an aquatic therapist and teaching kids with various disabilities how to swim. Additionally, I was a social coach in high school and worked with students with special needs in helping them with homework, teaching them social skills, and job skills. I have been a lifeguard for 5 years and have my CPR certification. I have taught swim lessons to all age groups as young as 2 and as old as 18. I have taken a babysitting course at the Seattle Childrens when I was younger and have babysat quite a bit over the years. I also was part of a program in college to volunteer with homeless children at an after school program. This included serving them dinner, helping with homework and some fun activities. I have always loved dogs and have been around them my whole life. I feel very confident working with dogs of any size/breed. I volunteered at a dog shelter for many years and have had experience with timid and active dogs. As for cleaning, I have always helped around the house with chores and am willing to clean anything given the proper supplies.

Hello! My name is Jonah and I'm a 20 year old NYU student from Miami, FL. I am studying finance at NYU Stern with a focus on the entertainment industry. I grew up with a sister who was six years younger than me, and often took care of her while my parents were busy. I've been to summer camp from ages 7-14, was a counselor-in-training at 15, then a counselor at 16. Having been both a camper and a counselor, I know what it is like to be the kid and the adult in caretaking scenarios. I've been lifeguard certified and CPR-Pro certified, having lifeguarded at the camp I mentioned. I'm a great cook, asian cuisines being my favorite to make. I'm happy to help kids with their homework, or give tutoring sessions, especially in writing or math. I play guitar, and would gladly offer practice lessons for kids who are starting to play.
