I am a lifelong babysitter, starting as a mother’s helper at 8 years old for a neighbor and their infant. I babysat throughout high school for an infant until I moved to NYC when she was 8 years old. In college, I worked at a daycare with children aged 12 weeks to 5 years old. When I first moved to NYC I was a nanny for 3 different families with children ranging in age from 8 months to 2 years old. I am currently a 5th grade math teacher and have been a teacher to elementary and middle school aged children for 14 years. I love playing games, reading and going for walks or to the playground. I love to joke around while still have boundaries with kids to keep them safe and learn how to navigate the world around them.

Haii! I’m an incoming Pace University (NYC Campus) student who genuinely enjoys working with children. I have experience babysitting kids from 3months to 11 years old, tutoring after school. And I’m ALSO CPR certified. A day babysitting with me : I like to keep things fun while still following the family’s routine. We might start with a snack and some homework, then switch it up with arts and crafts, games, a movie, playing outside, or exploring something new( definitely excited about this). I’m big on letting kids have fun while still making sure they feel comfortable, heard, and safe. Before the parents come home, I’ll make sure everything is cleaned up and the kids are settled into whatever routine they normally have. I like to actively keep the kids busy and myself, so their interests are very important to me. Parents are updated every few hours and occasional check in when it’s my day off. Having open communication is my biggest priority. I’d describe myself as kind, outgoing, easy to talk to for the most part lol and someone who always tries to bring positive energy wherever I go. I’ve always believed the best jobs are the ones where people are genuinely happy to see you walk through the door. I want to be the sitter kids get excited about and the person parents can trust without worrying. As I’ll be moving away from my own family to start college, I know how important it is to have people around you who make you feel safe, supported, and cared for. I hope I can be that person for the families I experience New York with while building a foundation for connections. I’m currently available for after-school care, date nights, and completely available on the weekends!!! I can adjust as needed and do very early mornings but it’ll be tedious.
