Hello! I’m Skye and I’m a student at Guttman Community College studying early childhood education. I’ve been working as a nanny/babysitter for 2 years and working in a classroom setting with children for 3+ years. I’ve worked with children ages 4 months-9 years of age. I currently work at a Reggio Emilia philosophy Nursery school located in the UES, positioned as an assistant teacher for children ages ranging from 2 years old - 6 years old. I’m a CPR/ First Aid Certified.

I have several years of hands-on experience caring for children, pets, and households, and I truly enjoy helping families run smoothly. Over the years, I’ve cared for children of all ages — from infants to preteens — which has taught me patience, creativity, and flexibility. I babysat regularly for a 1-year-old and 6-year-old for four years, as well as for another family with a baby under one and a 4-year-old for two years. I also cared for a 3-, 5-, and 7-year-old for two years, and during high school, I was a daily after-school sitter and driver for an 8- and 10-year-old. And I’m ALSO CPR certified. A day babysitting with me : I like to keep things fun while still following the family’s routine. We might start with a snack and some homework, then switch it up with arts and crafts, games, a movie, playing outside, or exploring something new( definitely excited about this). I’m big on letting kids have fun while still making sure they feel comfortable, heard, and safe. Before the parents come home, I’ll make sure everything is cleaned up and the kids are settled into whatever routine they normally have. I like to actively keep the kids busy and myself, so their interests are very important to me. Parents are updated every few hours and occasional check in when it’s my day off.
