Katie $25 per hour for 1 child

Hello, welcome! My name is Katie. As a babysitter/nanny I enjoy caring for children, it's been very rewarding. Soon, I hope to pursue a career in "Pediatric Occupational Therapist." I look to gain as much experience while working with kids as I possibly can. I’ve been a childcare provider for a few years now and it’s been great! The children I've cared for have been amazing, I've gained such an Immense love for them. I truly love being a caregiver provider for numerous reasons, Including the happiness it brings me knowing I am contributing to their growth and development. While caring for children I have learned plenty such as patience and the love and connection that is shared as well as to be compassionate. My experiences being a childcare provider have helped me grow so much as a person I’ve also learned things of myself. I’ve learned to develop strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different situations and temperaments, the ability to make quick decisions in a safe and supportive manner. I have learned to gaining a deeper understanding of child development. Learning ways to manage children’s behaviors effectively providing positive social and emotional development. I try to work to my best ability, very dependable and responsible as well as very understanding, and self-confident. Which are important qualities to have when being a childcare provider as well as with any line of work. The families I've worked for have truly been amazing. I've been very lucky! I’ve kept a great relationship with the families which I believe it’s important. While working alongside the families I’ve always kept open and honest communications to keep everything afloat and make sure the families are comfortable while their children are under my care. I have also made myself available to other families when there was a need of a backup sitter/nanny, I’ve been flexible when there was a need for me to arrive earlier or stay much later. I try to be as flexible as possible because I am aware things may occur and families may need a little extra help. I truly love what I do which is why I look forward to it every day. This is a short summary of myself and my experiences, if it sounds good to you that makes me happy! Please reach out! I look forward to speaking further. Thanks :) As far as training and certifications, I have: - First Aid/CPR/AED certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification. I can provide references!

Rafael $20 per hour for 1 child

I am a recent college graduate, where I double-majored in Biology and Health Sciences. I am bilingual (Spanish and English) and have worked with kids of different ages and backgrounds. One of my favorite experiences I had in college was when I ran my own soccer clinic where I would meet weekly with a group of 20+ elementary-aged kids. Through this program, I planned fun activities, helped manage diverse groups of kids, and fostered a fun, engaging, and safe environment. In addition to my bachelor's degree, I am also EMT-B certified and have over 2 years of experience working in EMS, in which I have cared for pediatric patients in emergency and non-emergency situations. This has given me valuable experience in staying calm, attentive, and compassionate under pressure. I find it extremely rewarding to be a part of a child's growth, whether that is helping them with homework, learning new skills, or simply making them laugh and feel comfortable.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
