I’m looking for a part time job during the school year, and full time or part time job from late June to mid August. I’m a 22 year old college student going for nursing and am First Aid and CPR Certified. I also am up to date with all of my vaccinations, including COVID-19. I hold my NY State Driver’s license, but do not have a car. I’m warm, reliable, and easygoing, and I enjoy building real connections with both kids and parents. I have a creative and adventurous side! I love planning fun activities, getting outside, and keeping kids engaged with games, crafts, and little adventures around our beautiful city. At the same time, I’m responsible, organized, and always focused on creating a safe and happy environment where kids can be themselves.

$21 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 5 families in Long Island City, NY

I have been babysitting for over 10 years! I have been a counselor in training at the YMCA, helping in the summer program with specifically children from ages 5-13. This had included for me to work from 9 to 5, and even staying overtime if my advisors needed the extra help. I was consistently, and not only traveling with the children around the building, but outdoors as well. I made sure that they were safe, playing respectfully, doing their planned activities and getting their lunch. Despite the basics, I focused on child development when working with the children, making sure to be understanding of their emotions as that was very important to me. I had to teach them about consequences to their actions with enforcing discipline, yet maintaining a respectful manner. I allowed for them to understand the importance of empathy and apologizing. This allowed for me to understand at the time what it meant to be a leader, and have proper communication skills I Love Children!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
