Booked by 1 family in Long Island City, NY

Hello!! I live in Midtown East!! I’m a mom. I’m very active! I’ve raised an incredible young woman who is living in England. I have spent years taking care of babies, toddlers, kids, tweens, teens. Being a mom is a hard job but I love it! I love spending time with kids/babies and playing and teaching them. I can email you references from jobs that I had before and after this app if you’d like. Looking forward to meeting your family.

Gaby has been a great addition to our family. Within minutes of meeting our 6 month old, she was sitting on the floor, playing with him. She talks to him throughout the day and keeps him happy and entertained. She's incredibly aware of his needs for sleep, food, and fun. She's also respectful of my wishes for caring for him. Gaby is also a tremendous help around the house, helping with keeping our counters, tabletops, and floors clean! She's easy to communicate with and flexible with start times. She's always on time and very dependable. So happy we have her!

Booked by 2 families in Long Island City, NY

Hi there. My name is Galia. I am a patient, empathetic and energetic caregiver, offering child care, pet care and home sitting services. I am a copywriter currently looking for work, and happy to help families in the mean time. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15. But most of my experience is from the 3 years I spent as a part-time babysitter during my time at the University of Florida. I was also an after school care teacher for groups of 15+ children of all ages, for 1 year. I’ve been a nanny and babysitter on and off since 2019. These roles often involved helping children complete homework, bed time, play time, making lunch and school pick ups and drop offs. Additionally, I love cats, and I grew up with dogs, so I am more than capable of caring for them both. Plus, I speak Spanish.

Maria Florencia 1 review
$32 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm Flor I’m originally from Argentina 🇦🇷 and I have around 10 years of childcare experience through nannying, tutoring, teaching, and working as an au pair. For the past 2 years, I’ve worked long-term with a wonderful NYC family, supporting their daughter from ages 10–12 as her needs evolved over time. My responsibilities included school pick-ups/drop-offs, taking her to activities, meal prep, laundry, helping maintain routines and organization, creating engaging activities, and providing a warm, dependable, and supportive environment overall. I also helped care for the family dog. In addition to nannying, I have a strong educational background and over 4 years of experience tutoring and teaching English to elementary-aged children. I’ve worked with kids ranging from preschool age to pre-teens, helping with homework, reading, writing, Spanish exposure, creative learning, emotional support, and building healthy routines through a balance of structure, patience, and fun. I’m active, warm, reliable, organized, adaptable, and genuinely love working with children. I enjoy arts & crafts, outdoor activities, sports (especially soccer!), board games, reading, and creating meaningful connections with the kids and families I work with. I’m currently available for summer and long-term positions, and I’m open to nanny, family assistant, and educational support roles. Excellent references are available upon request

Flor is one of a kind, an absolute gem! We hired her to be our nanny, but she turned out to be so much more. She was an amazing teacher, role model, care taker, and most importantly she became an amazing part of our family. My daughter blossomed so much under Flor’s care. Flor’s many talents accelerated my daughter’s reading, writing, math and social skills (manners too!). Flor has an incredible capacity for patience and connection with the little ones and even us grown folk as well:) We entrusted Flor to care for our daughter not only on the day to day but also for overnight stays. The only concern we ever had was upon our return if our little girl was going to eat our cooking again, because Flor’s is out of this world. She is also incredibly trust worthy. We gave her the “keys to the castle” and she never spent a penny that wasn’t pertinent to the position You will never find anyone better than Flor. If you want the best for your child, then look no further.

Arianna 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Arianna, and I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am offering child care services. I have been working with children since I was 16 years old, caring for ages ranging from 3 months and older. My experience includes caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. In addition to my childcare experience, I continuously volunteer with children at my church, caring for and engaging with infants, toddlers, and older children. Most recently, I worked with my professor’s 5-year-old child for a semester, where I assisted with daily care, activities, homework, and supervision. I enjoy creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children to learn and grow. In addition to child care, I can assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, organizing, meal preparation, and running errands. I am CPR certified and currently in the process of obtaining my EMT license, which has further strengthened my commitment to safety and caregiving. I am reliable, compassionate, and dedicated to providing excellent care, and I look forward to supporting your family’s needs. 😊😊

Arianna has worked with my family a few times in the past. She is a responsible, considerate babysitter. My children were very fond of her. She was especially proficient with my 7 month old during the more hectic holiday seasons, and my toddler was absolutely smitten with her. She always kept them occupied and engaged with healthy activities, such as, taking them to the park or interactive exhibits around the city. Her experience as a babysitter for many years really shined through with the way she managed and took care of the kids and their environment. I never had to worry about them being glued to their screens whenever she was around! She was also very open to communication and feedback from my husband and I, though we rarely had anything but praise to give her. She was always professional, on time, and very reliable, and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend her to other parents in need of childcare!!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
